Project Licenses Plates

I feel I should clarify my statement to explain that if each skin has 4 tail numbers and you have 6 skin sets you can have 24 tail numbers…
-
And if you multiplex the db as per my thread’s shots, you can simulate each squadron down to the last bird.
-
With the F22, you can have different tail numbers, even with more than 4 ships airborne, IF you install it, and all the textures that are available nowadays.
Regards Metalheadjanhas f18 does too, as well as some of his f16 models.

I dont know what multiplexing the db means, but I would be very interested in finding out more about simulating each squadrons birds…

Whilst they are nice pictures it doesnt actually explain anything….

Two years ago I did a similar experiment …

Is there a way to non repeating skins in a package of ex: 2 flights with same A/C ?
-
sure, if they are PLP equipped models and each flight uses its own skin (two skins total for two flights), then you can have 8 tails across two skins.
That is doable. What I am interested in (right at the minute) is how you get a single flight to have different aircraft types in it…

But, what is PLP (equipped models) ?

I was told that is a reality or very close to it… believe it’s something to do with recent Janhas work…

PLP - project license plates… have you read the thread?

PLP - project license plates… have you read the thread?
No, not all the posts, sorry.
Trying to keep up the news from work…Anyway, in that case, how to choose different skins for two flights?
Example:
We already solved and using license plates - thanks to Nuno Santos and Saylor (aka Fracapelo).
The other day flown a mission with 2 flights in the package, same A/Cs. The skin we choosed for each flight affected both flights always…???
Any ideas of what could be wrong? -
can I ask you to clarify, you had two flights of the same aircraft, and they could NOT choose different skins to each other?
-
Situation as follows:
2 flights of 2 F16C-50 each in the same package. First flight, skin set #1 (serials 15107 and 15117); second flight, skin set #2 (serials 15115 and 15133). Enterig the 3D world, both flights shared the same skin set, so 2 A/C with serial 15107 and 2 with serial 15117.
When flying with a single flight of 2,3 or 4, no problem whatsoever with the license plates.
Any thoughts regarding a possible cause/solution will be most welcome
Edit: forgot to mention that the models used were the LVN2 Block 50 HAF (thank you JanHas for a tremendous job with the new models! )

Hi, Gents!
Could anyone point me in the right direction towards using JanHas amazing license plate models for a package of 2?
We’ve been using them in our squadron, and everything works fine when flying a single flight of 2,3 or 4 A/C.
But when flying a package of 2 flights of the same block (in this case we’re using LVN2 Block 50 HAF), everytime we select a skin set on the loadout screen, the same skin is applied to both flights. It just doesn’t seem possible to select skin 1 for flight 1 and skin 2 for flight 2.
Any thoughts on the subject will be much appreciated.

should work if you set up two separate squadrons? 1 flight from each squadron.

Thx for the reply, mate! Will give it a try.

So, no luck if 2 flights from same squadron (for now)… right?

not the way BMS is coded. you select the “109th Squadron” and based on some math equation, BMS selects one of the six skin sets for that f16. So everybody in the “109th” gets that skin set. If you change skins, it changes every jet in the “109th” to that skin. (For you only. if you are online, the skins you select have nothing to do with the skins others select. Skins are clientside calculation)
And since the Licence plates as currently implemented are just a “slight of hand” per say, basically using switches to put different model parts on the jets numbered 1-4. So all number 1 jets will have the same tail number, and all #2 jets will be the same and so on.
So even if you change the skin in your flight, it will change the skin for any other flight in that squad. But if you create a flight from another squadron, it should use one of the other 6 sets. (as long as the mathmatical equation doesn’t bring up the same skin)
hope i made sense. Probably not……lol
