Pretty cool! Always liked the landing gear of the F.1, looks like a complex piece of fine machinery.

Seems I’ll need to put the Mirage F1 FM back on the workbench… (at least I need to improve the Flaps behavior at TO and Landing)
No one interested in building a Mirage-III/5 set ? (3d model and pit), I’ve already reworked the FM, LOL -
Any change to have the ASTAC pod implemented too on their payload?
-
Hello,
ASTAC is only deployed on Mirage F-1CR. We don’t expect for now this reconnaissance fighter to be done.

Very later, I might do a Kfir C-10… In fact an enhanced Mirage III. (but this is another story)
But very later.

Thanks for clarifying this. Actually I didn’t know what exact France birds versions carry this pod that why I asked for your plans. It is not RECCE though, it is an ELINT pod. I only had sources for this as used by our HAF RF-4E’s, but in near future where these planes will be grounded there are thoughts to be moved to the F-16’s fleet. Lockheed has already performed some initial flight testings to confirm the carrying forces.
BTW, I did a quick search and found out some quite interesting info about the pod. It is also used by Japan, check here.

Hello,
You are right, JASDF uses ASTAC pods on their RF-4J but also on their RF-4EJ And their EF-4EJ.
What you shows is a RF-4EJ “Kai” from 501st Hikotai of Hyakuri.
Thank you so much for your pictures!

Very sad:p:p:p
My dream was always to fly in a Greek Mirage F1CG (with the classic C cockpit).
Keep up the excellent work! -
Don’t worry. We are also thinking to make the Mirage F-1B so, we will make à legacy F-1C cockpit.
I go back to cut my trees in my garden! Lol

I know there is also a Swiss Mirage IIIDS which has the similar upgrades. 2 seater though.

Can’t wait to see this 3d model completed, I’m sure it will look fantastic!!

Today, Gudule told me he is working on some minor details to enhance the model.
Moreover, we found Mirage F1EQ and Mirage F1CT are highly similar, except tail and refuel drogue, so we will make Iranese and Iraqi models.
When I say we, I talk for Gudule mostly.

So ASTRAC first, then CT, then EQ?
-
I guess, CT, EQ and ASTRAC
-
-
And C.14? It has second place in first post. Have you forgotten?

Not forgotten at all.
It should be just after ASTRAC or before…
Please understand, CT and EQ have very similar avionics, so it’s almost only a paint job… Except the tail to modify. So, it’s,not a major variant like C.14, ASTRAC or CT. Please also note, our very two major versions are French Mirage F-1 CT and Morrocan Mirage F-1 EM-VI (ASTRAC)
