WIP: Mig-25

Arf my dear Monli … look beyond horizon
Does this mean that recon code will be improved? Yeah! Because in this case SR-71, U-2 and and RF-4 are also on the table again.
BTW I simply do not understand why the most important red jet is neglected, the MiG-21. Litertally there were not WPACT or any friend of USSR who did not use them… It is useful as fighter or strike AC and had even recon variant while MiG-25 were quite marginal in RL Cold Wars, only some countries used in very limited qty. Of course I happy that another red jet will get a decent 3D model.

Wow, “Hayab” strikes again!!!
And like always his “bar” is on top
Thank you very much my friend for your continuous awesome efforts!

Quite true! However, the MiG-25 wherever it served- was a power projection tool and status symbol, and therefore was a primary target whenever combat was concerned. In 2003, we had Tomahawks standing by and the ATARS F/A-18Ds were stretching their legs as far as they could to find one stinking operational MiG-25 in Iraq and destroy it- to show that we could reach out and touch someone anywhere- in order to avoid the start of the conflict.
Earlier, in the late 90s, F-14 and F-15 trained MiG-25 specific intercepts and missile solutions in order to get the MiG-25s whenever they broke the Southern Watch parallel. One AIM-54, unknown numbers of AIM-120s and AIM-7s where expended just to get the MiG-25 to no avail. It would be nice to get HOT TASKING diverts to nail a target like that warming up for launch.

Nice job there Hayab. Keep it up mate.

Awesome modeling as always Hayab, I look forward to seeing it at the merge.

Edited.

Hayab,
The model looks beautiful, but I do wonder about the cockpit canopy framing. Compare what you have now to the following photographs:

…I was trying to find better shots, but that’s about all I can get at the moment.

Thaeris, i dont see what you mean.
-
he must mean this:
-
Thanks Arty, seems there is a different.
Imho Hayabs new model with that canopy is much better then the original. But its also good that not all of you are so blind like me.
-
I think it likes F15 very much.
-
Will this include a cockpit ?
-
Does the pope sh%* in the woods?
-
this must be a later version of BMS. Shadows look much better and the canopy glass reflection material is shiny!
Im going to say this is in 4.33 -
This is a help ?…. maybe
-
what is the progress on this???

It’s a MiG-25, it could go faster, really…
Yeah but it’d run outta gas too soon and crash. Let it get to altitude first and drops its goofy centerline tank before picking up speed.
