Did the landing Training

Maybe you lowered the landing gear over 300kts…

Gear down above 300KIAS?
-
I hope you’re not using the alternate gear extension handle? It’s probably V-LG like people have said. A tip about the max speed of 300 KIAS… don’t press it. 299 knots is “by the book” but there’s no reason to be hard on the airplane. Why not 250 or 200 knots?

I’ll try it again later today. It happened immediately when I was placed in the plane before I could adjust the throttle, touch the landing gear or anything. It is the Training mission so it was not a missile. Maybe it was a chance failure or something. There was no indication of gear damage only avionics malfunction.

canopy closing from partially open upon entry into 3d perhaps? had this multiple times when joining online sessions. fixed by modifying config file
-
Here is what I found, when I do the ILS Landing I start in the air in the landing configuration heading toward waypoint 3 at less than 240 knots so everything is ok.
When I try to do the Day Landing lesson I am put into the Jet in the air and the gear is automatically extending but the jet is doing 345 knots so it immediately breaks.
I am starting the lesson with the throttle in the closed position, it is a broken lesson, so I’ll just move on.Mokong48, I do use Track IR and when I did the ILS training I had a canopy malfunction light, it went away when I landed. How did you modify the config file to fix it.

Should not be necessary to change the config file. Some other error is causing the canopy light to be on. Same with the landing TE (TE -03), gear should not be coming down when you enter the jet.

well I guess the next step is to unplug the warthog hotas and try it using only the keyboard and see if the same thing happens. If it does not happen then I know something is wrong with the joystick config. I have tried a few times over the years to get Falcon configured, I never did have much success, but I have heard good things about BMS 4.32 so I decided to try it again.
Update: I had the resolution to high, I turned it down to 1024x768 like is recommended and everything worked good. When I hit “T” I got the menu and selected Inbound but heard no response, I also tried request landing but got no response. I figured the radios would have been preset. I looked around but did not see the frequency needed in the briefing or anything. Other than that it worked perfect.

Let me know if want to fly together so we can go over it together, just incase you need help. Do you know how to use Teamspeak3 for comms??

Noneed
If you enter the jet gear down at 340kt it is normal it breaks
So the landing mission is buged period (tbh those missions have not been tested / debugged seriously)
Just create a TE yourself to practice or use the take off training.

I’m fairly certain Training mission #3 is not bugged. I just tested it, and it starts out with 345kts IAS, gear up… I suspect your HOTUS is engaging “gear down” upon entering the Sim.

Yep, I think so too……
Check your setup-> controller and verify that your landing gear shortcut/keypress works properly, and retry the landing TE.

+1
I don’t even think that the code supports gear down upon entry in the sim. You can cross-check by entering maybe “max turn at corner” and see what happens there. I think the gear will get down there as well.
I just tried and had the same result as donw43.

I had the resolution at 1920 x 1080 as soon as I put the resolution down to 1024 x 768 the problem cured itself and the Training worked fine.

???
What happens if you go back t 1920 x 1008?
