New NVIDIA drivers

Strange you say that. I ran 344.11 and had to go back to 340.52
Every time I attempted to launch falcon I kept getting some sort of error message. It was only with 344.11. But we do have different gpus so maybe thats the problem???
Just a question …
What is your OS?
When you revert to the older driver, how do you prevent Windows to download and install automatically the latests? … because on my Win8.1, it is automatic and I do not see how to prevent it! https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?20147-Real-bad-stuttering-on-the-ground&p=293799&viewfull=1#post293799

I read in your prev post you have turned off windows updates, however the newer nvidia drivers can also auto update I believe, something to do with 'GeForce Experience or some such. Have you tried this tool;
Cleans out any remnants, auto boots your OS into safe mode. Also when installing fresh always choose ‘Custom (Advanced)’ option and put a check in ‘Perform clean install’ box, and only install whats needed. For my part I only ever choose, drivers and Physx. Hope this might help.
Good luck

Gonna give a try.
And found how to inactivate drivers auto updates from Windows settings.
…
Thank you very much!

I have been installing new drivers as they come up hoping that one day the stuttering would be fixed with focus shadows on. The driver version 344.11 seems to have smoothed them out pretty good now. I messed with the settings trying to make it better and noticed a new setting in the Nvidia control panel called shade cache that wasn’t there before. It is set to on and the description sounds like it was specifically made to help with stuttering due to shadows. This driver helped me. It may be worth trying to see if others can turn the focus shadows back on.

Currently running driver v340.52. No issues.
Is there any reason to update? Are there any functions/features worth updating for?
System:
i5, 4590 running at 3.7 GHz
MSI Z87-GD65 MB
16 GB HyperX RAM
MSI 760GTX, 2GB, modest custom OCBasically used for web browsing, BMS and a few small (BMS related) videos.

Not unless you have a 9xx series card from what I’ve seen.
Fubar out.

I had graphics issues with CODAW with older 344 drivers and updated to 344.60. Issues now gone. BMS still runs same.

On 306.97 you’re more then safe for BMS!
Upgrading of course depends on your other apps in Windows 7/8 and your GPU!
Haven’t updated yet myself.
Cheers

I have BMS and HAWKEN. Both works perfect.
Thx Maverick

You’re most welcome! Glad to hear you like the drivers! What’s your system and OS?

You just have to find the trick that works for you. I found the one for mine and have been able to upgrade drivers for new games as they have come out and still maintain good BMS performance. I am currently on the 344.60 drivers.

BMS is my main “game”, the others are just secondaries

One major FPS gain I found so far is disable cockpit display extraction and use a second PC with MFDE in server/client mode.
For instance I went from 15-20 to 40-50 FPS on the ground in large bases like Kunsan and Kimpo just by doing that. In the air it’s 70-80 FPS.
