Check out remaining fuel, close, no?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v340/Mower/2012-07-15_000524.jpgGood thing this is a game because most likely your engine would have already died a few hundred pounds ago.

Good thing this is a game because …
a simmer would have diverted
hold it. Don’t show me the door. I know where it is

Mower someone should tell the DCS guys that IAF F-16s don’t carry Mavs, nor HARMs ::)

+1
This is something I would lie to see being implemented one day:
Precision of Fuel gauge and engine flame out.
IRL, fuel gauge are not perfect … and engine do not flame out when it reach exactly zero!
IRL, fuel gauge are transducers based on different technologies… but are not really 100% precise. This is factor in fuel management.
Furthermore, engine may spool down before having no more fuel in tanks due to non pump able fuel and internal tank shape.
Since we are modelling our lovely F-16 in detail … It would be a good step forward to implement that in the sim by making fuel management more interesting and more realistic!
Below 800lbs … engine flam-out can occur anytime with a non linear probability of flame-out :
<800 = 5% chance of flame-out
<700 = 10%
<600 = 20%
<500 = 30%
<400 = 60%
<300 = 80%
<200 = 90%
<100 = 95%
= 0 = 100% (of course )Bonus: Confirmed also that Fuel gauge and DED does not show the same thing with about 100 to 300lbs differences and that DED is working with a small delay with fuel gauge which is more instantaneous.
(Note that we would need an entry in BMS.cfg to be able to disable that for flight test and database determination purposes)
… maybe one day … (?)

I tried vanilla BMS with Nvidias Dynamic Super Resolution set to 4K, downsampled to 1080p. No external AA or any other gfx mod added. Super impressed with the results and the jaggies seem non existent ingame (The uploaded images here don’t do the original screenshots justice…)
You need a super powerful gfx card to get it running well like a GTX980, minimum

Yep, Nuno’s clouds, pack v7.1 to be exact. Graphic settings are all set to high (at the resolution I mentioned, no vsync btw). HDR Bloom slider is all the way to the left and HDR Blur is all the way to the right. You won’t get that ‘hot’ orange glow on the cockpit panels or the fuselage from fired missles, it’s a more subtle orange glow and the sun is normal. It’s only slight but I felt the DSR really gave good sky and shadow contrast, just as you saw in the second shot. Ive 3 more shots on my profile from the 6th Dec that show it
