Do you have the F-16A block 15 glareshield?
I’m 95% sure, that its a B15. But I have no history of it, so I can not confirm.

nice! thanks for the images! but, if possible could you do a right and top view photo? i’d like to use it as reference image to ease a bit the modelling.

Very cool work thus far. Keep it up!

Yep this virtual tour is excellent, now 1milion $ question is how various pages of SCP looked like and how it interacts with DATA FUNCTION panel.
BTW Did F-16A had any lasing pod in the inventory? I’m asking because of clearly visible Laser arm switch.

As far as ye old fashioned pit F-16A goes I think the first to get TGPs or certified for were a few Foreign countries including Pakistan on the ATLIS II. Venezuelan F-16As have been seen with AAQ-28 Litening TGPs.
There were probably a few more, however F-16As didn’t need a TGP and could still drop LGBs via lazing from another aircraft or ground based troops.

Any advice on how to make the main ADI? i’m having some trouble with it…

It still had the switch for arming the laser, though, so there must have been some way it could use it. Though maybe it was just the designers anticipating it would eventually be able to use one.

I can see that the Block 1 cockpit didn’t have a laser arm switch at all although those upgraded to Block 10 etc might have got one but again Block 10 and under didn’t have the cheek hardpoints.
Considering thousands of game changing LGBs were dropped on Nam in 1972 (mostly Buddy Lased) it was definitely considered from the start , LGBs were flight certified in the 70s for the F-16.
Note that LANTIRN Development started in the late 1970s along with the AMRAAM etc all intended for the F-16s future.
Thing is without an actual laser device there was nothing to use - Pave Penny was passive only AFAIK and thus ATLIS II was probably the first in the mid 1980s.
None of the pods used by the F-4 were suitable (Pave Spike/Tack) and could not be loaded.
ATLIS was flight tested in the 70s on the development F-16s, but Martin got the LANTIRN Contract and split with Thomson and the production version ATLIS II didn’t appear till about 10 years later.

As far as the manual says, the don’t have it.

I see, so by 1984 it looks like the laser arm switch was on the Block 15 cockpit diagram. Suppose that makes sense now with the cheek hardpoint provisions in place.

indeed, i guess the wings weren’t the only place where more hardpoints were added

Sorry for misleading you. I just wish Janhas would make an A model to combine with your cockpit.

Are you doing the Block 10 pit Rypley?
