Just a big THANK YOU to Manos for one of his gift to the team: the Mirage F1-CT (in fact a large familiy of Mirage F1)… we try to take care of it (here, introduction of Barax ECM pod under right wing, Phimat chaff/flare pod is under the left one)

Hi guys,
Last night i had some serious fun. Falcon 4.0 is a Block 50 sim, so i decided to get back to the good old roots of the game and fly the Block 50. I had so much fun last night flying the campaign in a Block 50. I was always a big fan of weaseling. The 79th Fighter Squadron from Shaw AFB was tasked to prowl on the south-western coast of North Korea looking for SAM units. First when we arrived in the area we had to clear the area from Fighters, first in is part of our WW motto. Once we cleared the area for fighters we went to the Tanker to top it up before heading back to the area. It was a 4 ship of CJ’s and 1st element was carrying the Harm and the 2nd element was carrying the GBU-39’s.
If a threat would show up on the HAD display, i would lock it up, then turn my nose towards it and i would see a circle displayed on my HUD , i then would select the HUD markpoint option and slew the markpoint symbol over the circle representing the position of the threat on the ground, then i hit TMS up and i would see coordinates pop up on my DED. Then i would make that markpoint the active waypoint and now with the help of my TGP i would look it up and be able to target them with the GBU-39’s of my 2nd element. This is how i would find the exact coordinates of threats not showing up on the UI map. I write those coordinates down and if i did not destroy them, for the next mission i would place a PPT in the approximate area and once in the cockpit i would enter the correct coordinates for that PPT.
We managed to wipe off an SA-13 unit from the earth, then we managed to target the SA-17 unit, which after making markpoints i ended up strafing. My hearth was pumping hard when going for the strafe run, i was trying to focus on the target symbol in the HUD, carefully placing the gun piper at the base of the target symbol. I was at the same time canning for MANPADS or AAA fire. At the same time, high over my head there were missiles flying towards J-11’s, the second element was taking care of them.
I tweaked the campaign a bit by adding an EA-18G Growler unit, an RC-135W and one marine attack unit, F/A-18D. I took command of all those units and i had a blast. All of this at night.
Thank you BMS team and keep it up !
Guns ! Guns ! Guns !
