JFS switch won't move on rampstart

Check Batt Switch to MAIN. Check Throttle to Idle. Check callback used in .key file.

The guy said he’s used to ramp. Error are possible, but he says it’s the second time…
Check Throttle to Idle.
For the sake of consistency, the throttle should be CUTOFF, if you’re IDLE you increase the chances of creating a hotstart
I reckon, it’s also function on if you use the idle/cutoff F4patch option.Check callback used in .key file.
irrelevant, he’s ramping often, and it’s not his first flight on Tvt, if he had a callback issue, he would have it all the time

He clicks on the switch so .key doesn’t matter. I used to push to mil and getting throttle back to off during pre engine start checks. Somehow, bms doesn’t always initialise it to min value. But that was at least a year ago since I play the game so don’t know if that’s still buggy.

did you change anything calibration wise lately?
Would your HOTAS switch inadvertently from manual to auto cal? (if you use a Cougar that is)I have seen it happen too, and most of the time, it is visible around the detents when it happens idle/cutoff or AB
That’s where I would start my search for the source of the problem

Which F-16 block were you flying? Some require right mouse button click, while others need a left click.

Block 50.
@Red Dog, Good call on the Cougar calibration (I indeed use a Cougar), I’ll re-calibrate it and see if that helps. It could be an idle/cut-off problem.

for testing, just remove the idle detent trigger from your axis and use the keystroke only …that would indicate if there is a calibration issue or not.

Thanks Mav, I’ve removed the detent trigger from my throttle axis so I only have an AB detent left and now it seems to work. The JFS switch comes down correctly (right click) and upon ~20%, just using the ALT-I key stroke actually starts the engine up.
Does this mean there is a calibration problem?
update: removing the Idle and only leaving the AB detent resulted in me having no throttle control between idle (fuel flow 0900) and full AB! Any suggestions on how to remediate this?

that means that when your Throttle is in full back position (idle) , the signal sent is not zero.
=> Calibration issue
Or use the mouse right click in setup page to set up your idle position

Yes that’s right. I’ve re-calibrated my Cougar from scratch , reset the detents for idle and AB and now she’s working just fine again!
