Guys… I’m in a process of renewing balkans map … (that 8019dds is from bms 4.33, some ils/tacan/uhf has changed)
Do someone remembers how was this map created, with what software? … I’ve tried MC, OSC , VMT … and can’t find a way to display airports and their tacan/ils like on that original map from bms 4.33?

ok I got it now, it was the wrong TCN channel. But that means knee board for the pilot is unreliable. I got the right one from the Doc file.

Hmm… actually , haven’t look at the doc, yet, but… should be 106X for the “Pescara Vortac” , and ILS for Pescara (airbase entry)… …, since Pescara is one of the few airport which don’t use airbase tacan ., then they use separate VOR as tacan.
AAH… YES! you’re right. … I overlooked the first time as “I know what I’m doing…” lol - Not your fault at all mate! .
You see that airbase have TACAN=1X , but! , range is 0 … so it is not used. … need to scroll down a little until you get to VORTAC section , there you’ll see “Pescara Vortac” and its ch=106X … that one you want to use.
But, yes, it is “kind of” wrongly set up … it’s confusing for the new users… meh… bureaucracy…
Can be fixed in no time… under tacan channel for airbases which have “type 0 range” and they have their respective VOR’s , that VOR should be pointed to as a note. like: “note, see Pescara VOR” … ingenious? ha ?
Kidding, but, also not kidding. Docs should be a bit fixed , just a glitch.

sometimes the timing on GBU-12 reads zeros but still it hits the target. Also, wingmen always miss with LGB but hit perfect with JDAMs

They don’t miss “always” with LGB , I’ve seen hits , even with AGM-123 (LGB Mk83 with rocket booster) … Jdam is different story … it is the “smartest” weapon of them all, just can’t miss - since no GPS jammers in BMS
If you missed the target wih GPS-GBU in Bms … then you’re really doing it wrong…But, back on the statement… yes AI in Bms Air-to-Ground is far from perfect (they suck)… but they hit targets just fine when all is cool, … and they miss if under pressure , eg sam-launch…
I’ve seen things like in… low alt air-to-air turning fight , … the AI crashed into ground/sea … so even on ace difficulty they aren’t “Godlike” - and imho that’s more realistic then some “uber” …
everyone makes mistakes. even computer (AI)… computers are just faster in realizing and tracking/correcting the situation … but do they see the “larger picture” - No. Just triilions of small steps ahead.Ups… anyway back to op. - BMS AI in A2G - they suck (could be much better)… but ., they get the job done eventually/

the AI hit the target perfectly with LGB in kuwait theater but in balkans it is always missing with LGB even under fine conditions. I think this has been reported once. If you direct AI to hit a target with LGB & he is withing 5 nm it will miss. You have to tell the AI to attack my target when the AI is far enough from the target. So it might be a theather related bug that has not been fixed.
edit: AI is missing with LGB in under siege campaign but fine in TE built

Well, that excludes that something is wrong with the weapon/plane/AI , possible that you were using rookies for the task ?? maybe try different target… I don’t know what’s going on so …
I have seen misses, that’s ok, but I’ve also seen hits in Balkans. … theater campaign vs TE shouldn’t have anything to do with , … it uses the same approach
What could be is the target(s) itself , sometimes targets are not quite on flat land , so they kinda “hover” partially on unleveled terrain, hills, … but that wasn’t problem in the past… what I mean if you didn’t hit exactly the target itself, rather then near miss, sometimes target wouldn’t get destroyed… but (lgb)Mk84 could deal with that - its blast is enough to level anything around.
Please, Can you send me a save an description, what flight/target - I’ll try to re-fly your mission, … it is a default Balkans I suppose ? not some custom database ? …
(I am flying my own Balkans99 theater , so, I’ve been out of the original Balkans for a year or more… but still have all installed , just in case )Cheers

I have been playing 2 different Balkans campaigns online with 2 or 3 others. I host on 40 MB down and 9MB up. In each campaign we have flown up to 10 missions without issue, then suddenly the clients start getting the dreaded blue text which we cannot clear. Today we flew a mission fine (techwise) but needed to re do it. However Blue text issues arose. Can anyone think of a reason why x missions should be fine and then suddenly campaign gives MP issues. In the first campaign red air was significantly down from earlier meaning fewer units. Any pointers welcome.

Are the campaigns winnable without human intervention? I am in day 6 of the “Under Siege” campaign and the ground units seem to have stopped moving. Is this supposed to be this way?
I like to let the AI do its thing and just fly the missions it assigns me. But does that mean that winning the campaign is impossible? Do I have to manually move the ground units and create air packages?Picture of the FLOTs in my campaign: https://imgur.com/a/xbQ66wc

You are going to have to help the ground units. The campaign will stop if the ground forces do not take all the objectives before the time allotted. It is suppose to be this way. Even Korea is like this. You have to help the ground forces. If the campaign did not have a set time frame, then the ground forces would eventually over-run everything, but it would take longer. You also need to make sure they are taking the assigned objectives. The list should be in the Balkans post on the BMS forum
