Fact is: Red AIs and Blue AIs are identicals. The only difference between the Flights are the leaders.
-
Another thing is AI dropping two or even four JDAMs at once, even though one will totally do the job. Just why?
That might be doctrine, in that they are not expecting to make multiple passes or loiter at the target area. So we need some more control over their targeting behaviour to change that.
-
They are not dropping the JDAM on the same DMPI. So no, the JDAM are no wasted.

I call “attack target” and they drop several at the same target.

Prove it. …
What kind of target?

SAM radar.
I just looked, he actually dropped them on multiple targets (in the same batallion), but all I wanted him to attack was the FCR! I said “attack target” and not “attack collateral targets”.

By loading one pair of GBU-38 … how it is?

Not sure you’re going to have a very accurate answer. “Attack collateral targets” doesn’t exist, while “Attack Targets” means attack all targets but mine (in other words, attack collateral targets)… not exactly the best way to inspire trust.

“Attack Targets” will result in your pilot saying “Attack collateral targets”. I phrased it that way because “Attack Target” and “Attack Targets” sounds too similar.
-
Then use the original phrasing, “Attack my target” or “Attack targets”, it’s even clearer.

I have pretty consistent results with AI and Mavericks -
1. I use the targeting pod to track a target (usually FCR like Low Blow or Fan Song)
2. If I tell the wingman to “attack my target” he will launch 2 Mavs at it and one almost always hits
3. If I tell the element to “attack my target” BOTH 3 and 4 will launch 2 Mavs each and one almost always hits.
4. I can normally score hits with Mavericks if I am patient and not having a bad day.
That means my flight can kill up to 8 targets with an AGM-45G loadout or theoretically more if I max out the AGM-45D.
I have read comments from other folks indicating that AGM-45D is not always effective against SA-10, and I have seen D-laden 4-ship flights of Hornets destroy 0 targets in 2D, so I stick with the big ones.
Also if I loaded my flight up with 8 D’s and no bags, we would probably need to hit the tanker more than once. It would be a fun flight but too long for my RL schedule at the moment.

This is subjective, so feel free to take it with a grain of salt, but here some things that seem to help with this…
First is, as has been mentioned, keep communicating with the AI wingie(formation changes, music on, clear my six, Say weapons etc., and of course rejoin and attack my target)
Secondly, keep an eye on the IDM, and call a quick rejoin when they start to “wander”. IE: keep them close
Thirdly, carry a lot of fuel. I generally load 2 drops even if I know I won’t need it.
