Couple notes to VR users
-
As many of you know, VR is very intense in terms of CPU and GPU on your PC and if you don’t have an high end configuration, there might be some choices you’ll have to make…
Solve potential jittering issues
Add this line to your Falcon BMS user.cfg:
set g_bVRParallelRenderThread 0
This will smooth things out but at the cost of frame rate…
Trying to fix projection issues
You can also try within the BMS settings interface to:
- Anti-Aliasing to minimum
- Vsync to off
- No mirrors
Windows 11 specific issues
Use those lines in a command line (CMD) terminal (works well with HP G2):
@echo off logman stop HolographicShell -ets
More potential gains on performances
Add those lines to Falcon BMS user.cfg:
set g_bEnvironmentMapping 0 set g_bWaterEnvironmentMapping 0
You can also deactivate shadows through the configuration editor.
set g_bShadowMapping 0
We hope you will enjoy this new VR experience!
