F-14D Cockpit
-
You have an internal infection and you spend your time modeling an F-14pit!? Dam! :shock:
That makes you the John Wayne of the BMS Community! :headb: One tough son af b***.
All luck to you on your second surgery and hope for a fast recovery m8. -
The problem I am having is that the values given by the exporter are non-sense, and no where near the ones on the F-16 cockpit. See below:
//F-14D
SimCBEOSB_1L -29,37226 5,197480 38,999111 20 129 1
//F-16 by Nanard
SimCBEOSB_1L -2.329097 0.660677 -1.023423 20 126 1
Doesn’t make any sense!! If I replace the F-16 values in my file the hotspots are not that far from where they should be so the values should be quite similar.
Anyone knows what I´m doing wrong?
Pepe
Hi Pepe, looks like your numbers are off by 1 decimal place, perhaps if you divided your values by 10 eg:
SimCBEOSB_1L -2.937226 0.5197480 3.8999111 20 129 1
It might work. Also, I see you’re using , instead of . for your decimal place which might affect your values.

Good news!!! Came back from the doctor today and no need to have a second surgery YET. The infection seems to be healing with the antibiotics…he wants to check it again in a week.:D
Benchie, already tried that! But thanks! Dave has given me a few more tips I still have to try.
Cheers!

Hey guys!
Just a quick update of how things are going…
With the invaluable help of WaveyDave, I´ve managed to make the MFDs completely functional with working OSBs and I´ve also managed to make the HUD work properly. The pit now feels much more believable and is much more functional! Managed to do a few carrier landings with it!! Turns out I had all sorts of issues with export scales, system units, hotspots units…
I´ve now moved onto instruments and gauges, with DOFS and switches….and of course again I ran into trouble. WDave is generously helping me again but if anybody else feels confident with this it would be great if they could give me a hand to reduce his workload! :p… He´s been very patient…till now I haven’t given up on the modelling, I know there is still a lot to do, but I feel like knowing what lays ahead will help me be more efficient in the modelling in the future.
Its just hard to work on this as I have no previous experience modding Falcon or for any other sim…and there is not a lot of documentation or general information out there. I feel like I probably was way too ambitious with the project and it might not go anywhere without heavy input from the people that know, the “savoir faire”. Still, I’m having fun and I am learning a lot which where two of the main goals for starting this adventure!
Have a nice bank holiday, UK people, and a not too bad Monday for everybody else!
Pepe
PS: BMS Team, is it ok to put the BMS logo in the InGame images?
