Hornet Ramp start Video
-
Made this one along time ago, might help someone out.
-
Thank you!
Has anyone any problem with the fuel/engine gauge? My left engine doesn’t show numbers, and engine levers don’t move each one alone, just some distance, not the full travel.
-
I have found the dofs for those controls a little flakey over the years. Certainly do not re-enter the 3d world twice in one session, you usually end up with no reading at all.
-
Every time you start bug I will squash one on the ground!
To be fair, tried carried take off TRN in F18D and except creepy RIO at back seat I was so impressed with feel for cat shots and traps and with F18D cockpit, with carrier ops and carrier model. Jeeez guys its that so good that it even deserves it’s own avionics.

ok Start with dedicated avionics, then i start with more improvment on carrier ops
like LSO , autothrottle for F18 , shaking at launch ….
deal ?
-
Here’s one newer …. forgive the imperfections. It’s good enough to get a ready to fly Hornet.
A little better resolution too.
(Replaced with an updated version, slightly improved. Nov 15, 2015)

Sure thing, I always like deals with you

nice work mate. never tested the e model that much to be honest.

That’s not an E model…you can tell by it having a UFC vice a UFCD.

Tell the modeler/skinner ….

As I’ve pointed out elsewhere, it’s F-16 BMS and not Hornet BMS…and I’m partial to the older Hornets as it is.
-
Thanks for this Agave. This will help me out a lot.

Agave,
For the falcon we have the idle cutoff handle which we click to move it to idle……when you mention the “idle detent” in the hornet are you referring to a toggle switch near or on the throttle? My throttles work fine during flight, but during a ramp start they are stuck in the fuel cutoff position. Is there something I am missing?
Burner
EDIT: Disregard…
I set my throttle to 50%, the used the Idle Detent keyboard function “ALT - I”, then retard throttle to idle and the
throttles are now responding. Thanks to Smokey at the 72nd VFW.1. -Wake up the throttle prior to doing anything-slide it full forward and back to the idle position (you’ll notice the throttle in the 3dpit start moving)
-JFS
-RPM reaches 20-24% and SEC light turns off in the Caution Panel
-Throttle to approximately 50%
-Idle Detent (ALT-I)
-Slide throttle back to Idle2. Alternatively, you can use this if you have an idle detent on a Warthog HOTAS setup.
g_bUseAnalogIdleCutoff This option when enabled suppresses the need for the idle detent callback. The detent is simulated by the course of the throttle axis. The idle point must be declared with a right click on the SET AB button in the SETUP > CONTROLLER page of the UI. Enable this option if you have a strong physical detent at the idle point of your throttle. Available options: 0/1 – default is 0.

seems to me you are lagging on me on that one already

Is anyone else having issues with the 4.33 Hornet N1 RPM indicator.
If I load the default viper profile it loads properly, but as soon as I load my profile, the N1 indicator shows “00” the entire time. Is this a known error or is it something to do with my DTE settings?

If you’re describing what I think you are, there is discussion on it. You can try with Smart Scaling of and/or with Shadows off as those were suggested ‘work arounds’ that seemed to work for some.
