OF mods: JanHas, realism patch?
-
Seriously can’t wait for this. The current model isn’t exactly bad by any stretch, but it has needed an overhaul for a few years now

Hi janhas
I wanted to know if you are including the South Korean Air Force skins for the Block 52 and Block 32’s, for both single seater and double seater ? It is not a request, but i like to fly with the Korean skins since i only fly with the korean F-16’s.
I checked on the web, from what i see, they still have some block 32’s ….
If not, can someone please help me to take the skins from the Block 52’s with the Korean skin and put it on the block 32’s, is that possible?
-
yepp they have 2 sqds of bl32s
and its possible to put the ROK skin to bl32s. find the bl 32 and ROK 52 skins via Lodeditor or you can use the .dds list in the launchvipers.
duplicate the .dds files belong to ROK bl52 to your desktop and rename them according to bl32 dds the paste them to Koreaobj folder.QT

Jan, i don’t know if it is model-related, coding-related, or both, but can you take a look on the below please?:
1. Can from your side arrange the nose wheel landing lights to illuminate differently the top block from the bottom (to realistically simulate Landing & Taxi switch positions)? Similarly for the earlier blocks, main landing gear lights should illuminate differently the right one from the left one.
2. The wing lights and the fuselage (intake) lights should be autonomous and not paired together as in all current implementations. Brightness for these should also be manually controlled, but don’t know if it has to do something with your modelling job.
3. Vertical wing’s top anti-collision strobe light should illuminate only the surrounding area above that point, and not the below.
4. Finally, can you implement the 2 top fuselage lights that illuminate vertical wing s/n? Check this excellent shot from EMF work as reference: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/7304/75632323.jpg

Hey thanks for the reply,
I did that, but my isue is when i do that … the skin is not really fitting to the block 32, i used the technique you cited above in Open Falcon, but with BMS, when i do that … my Block 32 ihas the block 52 skin but all messed up, for example the tail is on the wings etc and etc … can you suggest my something ?
Thank you very much bud.

Did you try this tool?
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8078-LE-TEXTURE-Utility-All-Falcon-Versions
With this thing you can pretty much swap out skins if you take the model parent numbers into account.
You could open the 3D cockpit file of the plane you want to alter and Inside LODEditor under “parent number” insert the number for
cockpitwingsmodel ;
cockpitwingsdfmodel ;This example…3109=F-16CG Block 40 wings and skin…insert it, click “view model textures”…doing this for 2 planes with identical 3D models allows you to switch skins IIRC. You need to have “vehicles” under VIEW selected in LE and sorted them by name (works best), always choose the first plane that appears in the list-or simply check the readme.
For F-16C-40s, you will have 5 - as example.Good Luck.
Guys, correct me where I’m wrong, I sometimes mistake LODS, Parents etc.
PS: Block 30/32s and -50/52s should have different 3Ds-the IFF antenna section.;)

Hey Jan,
are you also working on the afterburner effects? or is anyone working on a afterburner mod?
what would be cool if they could emit some form of light effects for low level light
here are some reference picshttp://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/5/3/0/2028035.jpg

Well, we know that when BD have made it. But I think its better to have a strobe light more the tail because it give the strobe more easy to see at medium / long range. The problem in Falcon is that you can render the strobe light enough with a small white dot. So, to get a more accurate strobe visibility, I think the current one is the best ;).

+1
Totaly true … without that, white strobe is pointless and useful in BMS.
Additionally, (It will be hard to explain with my few words) … last time I saw F-16 (but is the same with many other a/c) I paid special attention to that point and I’ve changed my initial thought…
The flash, even by day, is strong enough to “print the retina” … so that the Bonedust’s tail light glow is closer to real life perception!
You may compare it to that vid at 4:30 :

additional the AB must illuminate during takeoff in the runway specialy on rainny or night takeoffs
-
White strobes are turned on by flight crews when they began their takeoff run. Red strobes are used just for taxiing and static ground runs. Usually the strobe switch is a three way switch with red, off, white postions. I hope that helps you guys.
-
red Strobe? In F-16?? They’re are no red strobe for the F-16.

I have completed the basic D model. The last few new parts have been added the last week and now it’s time to give this machine a nice paint job. There are still some tweaks to be made but it is better to do those at a later moment. The instrument panel will have two sets of textures (on/off) and they will switch when the canopy is opened. The remove before flight and ladders will appear/disappear when the canopy is closed. Chocks are new too and use switch 60. Most of the questions about the light are a code problem but the tail light illumination is partially in place but needs a dat edit.
A RoKAF skin set will be made for the 32 as well. Since the thunderbird and aggressor models have their own model and only the California ANG uses the 32 I’ll make the standard 32 model look like the RoKAF version (antenna). Better for those who use the Korea Theaters.
Now, lets look at the screen shots of the complete D model.

There is a god in heaven!!! hahaha!! No words!!! Simply wonderful!!
I thnink Block 52+ version with CFT’s will be even better!!! -
