Just an update as I continue to plod away at the Straight Flush.
The L1 low poly model is about finished and has come down from tomcatz original 17k to 3.3k
Does this mean that will you upgrade all of stuff of Tom? I did long time ago skinning, but if nobody volunteer, I offer my skills. Maybe I can ask about SAMsim guys about different paintings of WPC. Maybe more than one skin can be made for different theaters. (ITO, Korea, etc.)

Thanks for undertaking this task. Would it be possible for you to also check the general dimensions of the models? Some of them, especially the aircraft, do not seem proportioned correctly. I know TomCatz used a blueprint, but it is possible it was drawn incorrectly on the print.

Tom has produced lots of models, it would probably take me years to get all the L1-L4 Normal/Destroyed models and skins together for them. My plan is to do the oneās Iād like first (if no one is already working on them) and get them upto standard and ploy count one at a time so that if RL gets in the way what is produced is useable.

Thanks for offering but the initial model building and skinning is an iterative process as the design of the model (polyās) determines the skin (UV map) and visa versa.

Prehaps you will add one for Korea 80ās
I decided to go with a reduced res texture just so skins would be simple. If all goes well there will be a photoshop CS5 āpaint kitā psd to go with the model(s). So it can fit in with other models and Add-on Theaters.
I have 3 skins wip - the Czech Camo pictured, a Hayab themed (T55 Green) version and a plain desert type suitable for ITO, etc. The last 2 are simple base colour, tyre wall and decal changes.

Cheers.This is all very new to me (hence why Iām doing it), I too am uncertain of the dimensions of the GUās - google is very informative on the dimensions of the 3M9 missile but not so much on the TELās which is why I found TomCatz model a good place to start. As a noobe Iām starting with the GUās first, once Iāve got the skill set, Iāll prehaps look at TomCatz aircraft if there is demand but, usually, aircraft are pretty well served as that is where the interest is.

I meant if all of LOD issues are done and skinmap also is done I can make the skin(s). Yes, green + desert camo are required.

http://remixshare.com/download/hcy2sI packed two folders. So the first one is for modders. That folder uncludes 3ds datas, LOD files, Refferences and so onā¦
The second folders have the LOD file for the korea map. So everybody can install it with some clicks. Just follow the path and copy and paste that folders into the BMS installation.Please make sure that you made saefty copys first!!! I really hope that it works- So please answer to me if not or any problems. I`ll try to give my very best.

TomAre you making other low res LODs? Can you make that missile be placed on vehicle. In your SA-6 model, the missile is part of the 3D model. This makes you made the missile at least partially. ā-> Can you make the missile alone? Also SAM LODs can be refershed.
BTW, what about modeling the booster stage separation for older red missiles? Is there any plan on BMS4 Team to model this?

Yes Booster stage will be in later version, via switch and .dat file definition of booster length, so flame and smoke can be adjusted accordingly.

How hard will be updating 3rd party mods?

Not too hard I guess, just put booster part on a switch and make it disappear when switch value is 0, Iām not a modeler but sounds simple to me

Well noted, Thanks! Those SAMs are ugly in all variants of Falcon but now they look great in BMS with your work!
Do you intend to improve LODs for US tanks such as M-1, M-48, M-60?
