Airplane goes out of control.

So I really hated the momentum and stick elasticity in BMS, and decided to change it to something that is in my opinion more realistic. So I went into the config for the Blk50 F-16 and got ride of pitch momentum, roll momentum, and pitch elasticity. When I fly in campaign this works really well, I dont get the ridiculous control issue where my stick feels like its attached to a rubber band. However, in furball, or any other mode where i start in the air, the F-16 just goes wildly out of control. Does anyone know how to fix this?
yes. revert to linear curves and get a force sensor joystick.
then you will get the real experience.
this is true that real flcs is coded therefore is set up for no displacement joystick. of course it has big impact since the response time is diminished from the displacement time vs a standard joystick
get a Force sensor joy, then more queries about how ridiculous the stick response is : please write to loockeed martin

Nevermind that on the test F-16 the original SSC didn’t have ANY play at all and they added that small SSC play to give “some” kind of feedback to the pilots.

+1 what Dee-Jay says…put it back the way it’s supposed to be, and learn to fly the jet!
-
I know how to fly the jet…geez. What I can never stand about sim communities is the assumption that dissatisfaction with something necessarily means the person posting doesnt already know what he is doing. A complaint with how the game flys is not a admission of ignorance. However, assuming that IS admission of ignorance, since you are assuming who I am and what I do or do not know. Cut the shit.
Mavs response was the most useful, but I dont have a force sensing stick and have no intention of getting one. There are other planes and other sims that dont use them and I dont see it as efficient to but a stick like that for a single plane in a single sim. Just personnel preference. That being said, Mavs post clarifies that I am indeed right that the stick FLCS being designed for a alternate interface DOES create unrealstic issues for people using other kinds of stick. I have tested removing the elasticity and things in campaign. If I take off from the ground my modifications work, and solve the weird stick issues. However, when I take off in the air the plane goes haywire. If anyone has any idea why this is or how I can fix it, please post here. If you intend on giving me some patronizing unhelpful rubbish keep your shit to youself.

Unrealistic issues? Not at all.
Its not realistic to use a displacement stick to operate an F-16.

And Here is where the fun begins, you will discover that sometimes it is better to respect people trying to help rather than calling them name…because backfire can be close…
SO :
Unless you fly simplistic model , which i think you do not :
pitchMomentum
rollMomentum
yawMomentum
pitchElasticity
gearPitchFactor
pitchGearGain
rollGearGain
yawGearGainARE NOT AT ALL USED BY THE AFM CODE …BUT ONLY BY OFM.
so what you believe beeing “better” is 100% PLACEBO effect.
I see the question now coming:if those values are not used, why changing them provokes something bad when spawning in AIR. this is simply because when entering the game, the OFM code is run a few frames before the AFM code initializes from OFM values…that is why if OFM goes nuts during those few frames, AFM will go nuts.
but in ANY case, changing those values does not change at all behavior of AFM in flight, nor your stick response.

Well see how ironic the life can be, you dont know shit about what you are doing here , ROFLMAO

It sounds like you have some experience. Don’t be surprised being asked what your statements are based on if you make one like - - something feels unrealistic.
Enjoy the sim

Lets see if you can open a new thread about your problems where your attitude will be changed for the better and you will be willing to accept help from others.

He won’t. At least not for the next 8 days and i’m in a good mood. because in my book this attitude warrants a ban for life
I’m tired of ppl full of their own sht spitting on those ppl trying to explain things.
So let’s keep our sht together and i offered Shift8 a short vacation during which hopefully he will learn to respect other humand being a bit better
