F-14 Tomcat Modeling (first try)
-
Hi everybody
My aim is to learn to import any new plane into Falcon. I chose F-14 to try. (I do not think of modeling the F-14. Because stingray_SIX_TWO is already modeling a very nice F-14 model.)
I found an F-14 that was posted free from the internet. (I wanted to pass the 3ds max modeling period fast. Because my efforts would be wasted if I failed.) I do not consider publishing this model because it has copyright. I just use it for the experiment.
The first images of modeling are below. The only problem for now is that the plane is flying upside down.
(I think I’ve misplaced the + x and -x directions.)
It’s small step for community, but it’s a big step for me.
If you help, I would like to consult with you what I can not solve under this topic.:D
Best regards.

I continue to model with 3ds Max. I fixed the glass color. I developed the details of the pilot model.
When I complete the model I plan to do animations. (Eg opening and closing of wheels, pilot head motions, flap motions, afterburner effect, etc.). But my English is not enough and I need help with animations. Because there is no idea about animation.

" DISCO " and " MOOSE "

I installed the Falcon Exporter program on 3DMax and and added the model to BMS. I made the arrangements I deemed necessary on the model.
Now I’m going to start making animations. (Eg opening and closing of wheels, pilot head motions, flap motions, afterburner effect, etc.) How can I make these animations? Which sequence should I follow? Do you explain with a small sample?
Best regards.

You have to use DOFs and Switches helpers. Some basic tutorials:
