RE: Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
Hunting scuds now!
I did have a bit of a scare earlier though. While checking intel for my flight, I started adding ground vehicles, naval vessels, and aircraft to get a rough idea of what Iād be flying into. I clicked āflyā and it froze on the loading screen! After a few minutes, I got kicked back out to 2D. Then I realized that I could not click a flight slot again! Then I had a thought. Iāve always had a ton of items selected so I could see a lot on the map. So I backed out of the campaign, went back in and started turning off the vehicles and aircraft on the 2D map. I saved the dtc, then the campaign and exited the campaign. When I went back into the campaign again, voila! I was able to select a flight slot and now Iām heading north to Iraq!
I wanted to make sure that I passed this information along right away! This reminds me of the issue with EMF back in 4.32 with the dtc.
Happy huntinā everyone!

RE: Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
After uninstalling BMS and reinstalling, then downloading and installing this theater, everything seems to work just fine so far. I also re-created my logbook and dtc from scratch after installing. Not sure if that helped the situation any or not. But I did save my previous .lbk file and copied/pasted that over the one that I just created. Hopefully that will work for yall as well.
Thanks so much everyone for all of your help!
Off to huntinā scuds!

RE: Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
@tomcattwo I canāt select a flight slot anywhere myself. I uninstalled BMS and reinstalled this morning. Will test this evening after work. Fingers crossed.

RE: Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
@spbgoro Thank you so much! I tried everything you laid out so far, except fully reinstalling BMS. I did find a crash log from testing the theater this morning. I wonder if thereās anything in this that could help determine what the issue is that Iām having. Sorry if this is too long for a single post.

RE: Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
@spbgoro Thank you so much for the assistance! I tried removing and re-installing a couple of more times. Still no luck. Strangely, the U2v4 version works fine with no issues at all.
I saw in someoneās post that there was a U2v8 that has Al Udeid AB addedā¦I spent some time there and would love to fly out of there. Is there a link to download that version someplace?
Thanks again for your help!

RE: Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
ā¦I forgot to add that when I click the F-16 icon to select a flight slot, it highlights, but my name/callsign never appears and I cannot click āTakeoffā at all.

Cannot Select/Choose Flight Slot
This is in regard to the Mideast 128 Theater. Not sure if itās something that I did incorrectly on the install, but Iām not able to select a flight slot to fly. I have re-installed the theater and restarted my computer, still no luck. I canāt chose a flight slot in none of the campaigns, TEs, nor instant action. However, I tried an instant action and hit fly and it froze on the loading screen. I even created a new logbook and restarted, but Iām still not able to choose a slot. I tried the ATO and selected āJoinā and Iām still not able to get anywhere.
Has anyone else had this happen? This is only happening in this specific theater, all of the others work. Any assistance in helping me figure out my issue will be greatly appreciated. Very anxious to check out this theater.
Thanks!

RE: Engine idle regime at minimun throttle
I had that same problem a while backā¦it drove me crazy (lots of hard landings). I donāt have a Cougar system, but I messed around with setting the deadzones on my X52 Pro and it fixed the problem. I donāt like having the lessened throttle range of movement, but idle stays at idle now. I hope this helps!

Iām all sorts of excited about this theatre, Lorik! Keep up the great work! I wonder what will get me first, SAM or mountain. Thanks, Lorik.

RE: EF-18 Growler test
Damn, they donāt mess around when theyāre checking the freedom of their controls. I think Iād snap my T.16000M off if I worked it like thatā¦
No kidding, that is pretty violent, lol.

RE: EF-18 Growler test
Hereās a summary of my attempts.
You operate the EA-18G as any F18. It is loaded with special pods for jamming. You can have 2 fox3 and 2 AGM88, not TGP, no HTS.
You can rampstart it or not, it will still work in the end.Your flight plan contains 2 āJammingā STPT, or more if you want to tweak that.
You may have noticed, when you fly with the AI, that your wingman goes crazy āIām going to landā when you switch to āLandā STPT from appropriate distance. Same here.As soon as I choose a āJammingā STPT, the Growler starts jamming. There is nothing displaying in particular. When I select the next STPT after the āJammingā ones, the Growler stops jamming forever.
)
It jams ground radars, which still spike and can be tracked on RWR. I noticed several SA-10 launches from very close range (AAA bullets range), but I didnāt have to evade them. Probably another uneffective, autonomous mode?
(
It doesnāt jam AA radars.Iāve already read the jammed area around the jamming aircraft was 40 nm, it seemed valid last time I tried, but I couldnāt check in depth. Iāve also read we didnāt need to have her in the package (Mav-JP I think but I couldnāt be certain).
The patrol time over the two āJammingā STPT doesnāt matter. Having these points selected in your UFC matters. If you start selecting markpoints or any other steerpoint, your jammer goes bye-bye. Selecting back a jamming point, from a bigger one, didnāt work.I didnāt test a more fancy flight plans with repeated on/off patterns (6-7 jamming, 8 not jamming, 9 jamming againā¦), but Iām not sure itās interesting. For a human flying, even AI, I think having āJammingā STPT set on En Route is probably the best option from roughly take-off to landing. Not tested yet.
This is such a gorgeous aircraftā¦I was so happy to see this in bms! I think that itād be really neat to fly mp with a human in a growler. Thanks a bunch for sharing this information with all of us; Iām really excited and anxious to hop in a growler. Hereās a link to a video that Iāve been watching a lot of lately: I donāt know how to put the videos in the post yet, hehe.
Around 6 minutes, it starts to get a little amped up.
Thanks so much again!

I made the mistake of telling my wife where the eject button is.
