“My First PvP A2A Kill”
By: “Drew” “3CPO”
Okay, I lied, the title is a bit misleading because this wasn’t my first player kill. Earlier yesterday i downed a F-1632E that was on my wingman’s tail with a python-4. But, this is the cool one.
Flying a long 4 ship interdiction in south Sinai we struck ground targets and took a look north. We spotted a Mig-21 thirty miles out but turned south because of fuel status. Two ships flew home, one with damage while me, #4 and Shadow #1 decided to refuel at an airbase south of us. We took off and headed north to intercept an Egyptian OCA strike that hit Eliat.
Shad, giddy on the throttle took off and i lost vis on my lead. Being nose cold, no data link i was blind, flying low over the desert. #1 jumped a 3 ship with 2 longsticks and heaters hot. Meanwhile i tried to obtain SA of who was who.
All of a sudden tracers over my right shoulder alerted me of an F-16 hot on my tail nose cold. I turned into him and he must have had too much speed because he nose dived into the sand. With Egyptian #2 on my tail i pulled hard dropping flare and evading heaters. My #1 bailed me out with his last heater and we formed up headed for fuel at the same airbase earlier. Awacs alerted us of a 2 ship Egyptian F-16 flight RTB, with full rack we decided to give chase nose cold on the deck. Using awacs, i guided in with 5 miles nose cold.
At 3 Miles i turned my radar on and aquired #2, launching a sparrow he forced the lock to drop. At that point i switched to MRM and aquired #1, launched my other Aim-7 with success. At that point i switch to heaters and 5 seconds later #2 was down. Two Blk 52Es downed!
Landed with 200 lbs., heart pounding and legs shaking. Awesome fun!
Thanks Falcon Online! You guys rock!
