Actually no, for example Czechoslovak Air Force started to decomission first Su7 in 1984 but latest airplanes were phasout out as late as 1989.

One thing that I think helps with screenshots in bms is to add this line to Falcon BMS User.cfg:
set g_nEarthColor 0xEAF0FA
This will make the haze less blue, but will improve ambient lighting.
I use
set g_nEarthColor 0XDDDDDD- slightly more gray haze but still no excessive blue cumulus at distance

I see exactly the same behavior - in my test TE 21 Osan Daegu I used to see up to 14000 cmd now in 4.36.1 the cmd count goes up to 22000

On my old i5 6600k/GTX 1660Ti, 16GB Ram TE Benchmark runs nicely at 60fps capped with Cmd around 7000. Most demanding TE is 21 Osan Daegu - there the Cmd count goes to 14000 and my fps is around 38-42 pretty stuttery. If I turn off Shadow Mapping, Cmd count goes down to 6000-7000 and fps is again 60. My bottleneck is clearly shadow mapping as it doubles the number of Cmd (drawcals?) - I would be really grateful if it would be possible to set the Shadow Mapping radius somehow in menu/config (ie no shadows/cockpit/small radius/normal/big/+shadows on smoke -

First thank you for 4.36 update.
On my old machine shadows still kill the fps in half. No shadows -> perfectly fluid vsync 60fps on ramp Osan - Daegu TE. I would like to have more control over the shadows radius than shadows on/off - I mean to have shadows for virt cockpit and no so much outside to reduce the load. -

<p>Sorry to derail the post but how do you obtain 3DMAX sw license and which version? For me it is waaaay too much money spent on early/monthly Aurtodesk access for my needs. Is it possible to buy some older version for substantionally reduced price? Or some student trial? To pirate is not my way.</p>

Visually, it is not that much different from 4.35. There are fixes to some graphical glitches and a totally new fog implementation (which does not make much different in the regular game, unless fog is dense). We have even published one screenshot for xmas, make sure to check the screenshot thread. There are some cool things there if you know what to look at…
Most of the changes in 4.36 are not visual, they are under the hood (AI, data and more avionics). There are changes, though.
But for me, the main thing is that work has been going on for a long time for 4.36 that is about time to release it. Because 4.35 had so many problems, we spent a great amount of time fixing it (and 36 as well, which shared those same problems and others). So 4.36 closes this gap and I expect that after it, things will go faster, since it is much closer to the next version than 4.36 was to 4.35.
