X52 pro rotary problem
Hi everyone
I noticed while in the Hotas test page that the throttle rotary knobs are not centred and have a little constant ātwitchā movement
Is there any way to sort it or just by applying a little dead zone?
I could not find a way to calibrate the stick
9I am using Win7)
Thanks for your help

RE: Frustrated
Sometimes I wonder what happened to our reading habits. I remember that as a young Falconeer (At maybe 2003-4) when new patches were released, I was excited to read the manuals (I used to print them, I swear I still remember some pages of the SP3/SP4 manuals :)), so most of the times I even read them a couple of times before trying to test the changes or learn a new system.
Today, that Iām writing parts of those manuals (Well at least for 4.33, I wrote some of the new A-G sections), but seems like reading today is only second to YT tutorials and such
I-Hawk i admit youre right i became lazy with age (45) and looking for a short cut so i can get to the fight quick and survive , so even though i am not new to Falcon i only printed and read some of the weapon deployment pages in order to get to the shooting/killing parts .
I agree with Blu3wolf and you that its time to learn the basics properly but with work kids wife and all its just been delayed over the years so now with the combination of a new HOTAS and new version its all kicking me in the face , thats where the frustration comes from -
RE: Frustrated
Hi guys
Thanks for your replies
I-Hawk i am not new to falcon but i never learned it properly so i guess thats where my frustration comes from
I guess there is no shortcuts then and its time to hit the books -
Frustrated
Hi all
This is just to express my frustration and hope for any reply and suggestion :
I finally installed my Saitek X52 pro thats been sitting in the box for 4 years (I know I deserve every laughs and screams for that)
Between learning the new HOTAS and all the functions it has and learning the new weapons of BMS 4.33 i get very frustrated .
Any advice on where to start ? whats the first thing to learn ? what should be the first thing to concentrate on?
Thanks -
RE: Training Manual
As a user of Lulu, I know that this is a lie.
Hereās Reddogs page on Lulu: http://www.lulu.com/en/shop/olivier-beaumont/bms-433-training-manual-soft-cover-full-colours/paperback/product-22627376.html
He sells the book for $29.77 USD. Fair enough. This is WITHOUT shipping cost included by the way.
Hereās the customer enquiry page for quotes on books. It gives actual book manufacturing costs, not estimates. The great thing about Lulu is that these costs are constant from initial formation of books to final publishing. They donāt change.
http://www.lulu.com/create/books
Letās take a look at the manufacturing cost of his book. Scroll halfway down the page and enter ā152 pagesā, this is the number of pages Reddog has written for his manual. Itāll give you a figure but the size is incorrect. So after that, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on full ācolor on whiteā under the Interior Print column and then select āA4ā in the product size.
Well, what do you know? Total manufacturing cost for a full color A4 book is $9.71.
But wait, weāre not done yet. Go to this page next because this will outline the total cost to Lulu when you sell through their website: http://www.lulu.com/sell - and also here which outlines their commission: http://connect.lulu.com/en/discussion/33139
In the first box for the first link, youāll see how much Lulu makes on each copy in total. The base cost, which is the manufacturing cost to Lulu, plus the Lulu share, which is 20% of the net profit Reddog makes on each copy. The 2nd link outlines commission.
So Reddog sells his book for $29.77. The manufacturing cost is $9.71. So minus the sale, he makes $20.06 on each copy.
Now for commission, which is splits the net profit 80/20 between the creator/lulu, 20% of this profit amount is $4.01 which goes back to Lulu.
Therefore for each sale of this Training manual, Reddog makes $16.05 for each copy sold. Note that this DOES NOT include postage. That comes in addition to the total cost of the purchase.
I knew something was suss when I read Reddogs reaction to the OP. A little research on the matter reveals that heās been spinning a bit of a lie to the community at the same time. I mean hey, he did write the training manual so it is his property, I donāt know how you guys feel about that but for my part, no offense by me is taken.
But the whole āI donāt make moneyā thing? I meanā¦ cāmon buddy, donāt lie about you not making money on the manual. Itās hilarious to think you could honestly get away with that! Come clean
I can not believe you said that.
Reddog i would like to thank you and the rest of the team who spend days and night doing the work we all benefit from.
I personaly dont give a toss even if you sell your manual for a profit because this is your baby and your work and you deserve every penny and every credit for that
Thanks for everything you do for the enjoyment of this community :woohoo::bowd: -
Meaning of each command ?
Hi guys
Sorry if this has been discussed b4 but didnt find anything online : where can i find a specific purpose of each key command of the sim ?
I want to know what dms down does , or DMS left and so on means and dont find it anywhere
Is there an explanation for each command anywhere ?
Thanks -
RE: ''Light'' sim rig advice
And thats why i hardly fly .
Wives are great but they dont mix with sims (generally speaking ofcorse)
They will never get this hobby just like i will never get the need to clean the house every 3 days -
RE: Emergency Divert
Definitely a good idea. Once you have been flying a while, studying maps etcā¦ you will just know the fields in the area. Coming back from the North, there are plenty you can spot from the air, even not knowing their exact position.
That brings up another question : how do you know which air base this is and how to comunicate with it ? (as a non experienced pilot Iām afraid to say)

RE: Mission failed but why ?

I will try to follow Ciks advice or do more like SLangner suggested and ignore this -
RE: Mission failed but why ?
It can happen in every type of mission.
And i get it even when i follow the task as briefed -
Mission failed but why ?
