I’m so impressed with how far this sim has come. Trees have been F4’s holy grail for well over a decade. It looks amazing!
So many questions, but they can wait.
Cheers, BMS team!

Ships are pretty complex inside. Compartments and bulkheads. It would be tough to simulate a missile strike without some level of abstraction. Maybe Sinking Ship Simulator 20XX would put that effort in, but for a flight sim I think a die roll is sufficient.
Nice references, Tiffy.
I don’t have a clue about BMS coding or theater building, but if it’s known to be around 4000, my guess would be 4096. (64*64=4096)
I would have to agree, Eagle-Eye. The second I saw Chuckles suggest 4050 my programmer instincts rounded it up to 4096.
Really cool! I have one of these as well and I’ve been thinking about modding it for a while.
My biggest gripe is with the amount of slop in the dead zone. Particularly the Y axis. It makes it tough to fly with any precision. I’ve been thinking about modding it to use force sensors and gut the plastic parts.
Great job on your mod. Very inspiring.
I just read this article about the history of Scientific American’s predictions of future technology. I think they are over optimistic in most cases.

Ha ha ha, I love the pilot talking with his hands.
Reminds me of this gem: kiwi-helicopter-pilots-mock-fighter-jocks-in-this-class
I recall Keith Rosenkranz mentioning in Vipers In The Storm that he enjoyed the training for releasing nuclear weapons as it involved very strict timing; he enjoyed the challenge and precision. I believe at this point he was flying the F-16.
Awesome!
I really like the topgun views. It’s nice to see some vantage points that face port side. The existing ones only look starboard.
It would be really cool to have a downward facing view for watching ordinance fall away from the aircraft and the resulting fireworks.
