@Winger223:
Hey,
A little personal on this one but I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. It’s often difficult for me to play combat flight sims like falcon bms because I’m constantly reminded how I’ll never get to fly the real thing. I end up feeling anger at those who get to be very very very very small number that get to actually do it. I had the unfortunate sheer dumb luck of being born with bad eyesight and that alone disqualified me and even after that there’s simply not many seats actually available. No matter how hard I work it’s simply out of the question. Flying a sim like this one as good as it is just feels like a cheap, masturbatory, imitation of what might have but never could have been…
Once you’re in this kind of career, it is difficult to regret it after the efforts you consented to. But when you’re not, you may have a clearer clue of what you escape from.
What you are in a parallel universe shouldn’t be of any point to you. What you are doing in this one, though… You can forget BMS as an imitation of a real career. You can’t even be sure it’s not better. It makes things to your brain while avoiding doing things to your body. Priceless, isn’t it? 😉
