Lightning's MFDE and 4.33
-
I just noticed that MFDE doesn’t play nice with 4.33. My gauges just flicker all over the place.
I wonder if anyone knows if Lightning is still about and if he’s working on it? I’m hoping this is just a “pull data from this new source” type of fix and we’ll be up and running again in no time!
Thanks!

Its a known issue. Waiting for the updated version to be pushed public. It will take some time for all of the tools to be released.

what version are you using? in the BMS manual for 4.33 it points to link that you can get the most updated version.

Version 0.6.1.1 is available here:

RESOLVED
I’ve downloaded the newest 0.6.1.1. but I can’t start the instruments.
When I open the MFD extractor it starts in the taskbar, and i can select which instruments I want…But when I hit apply or ok…nothing happenes…The START and STOP buttons are also greyed out…any ideasI used the 0.6.1.0 and seems to be working now.

Thanks guys! Giving the newest version a try now!

Is anyone having an issue with the MFDs not working, all my other gauges are but no response from my MFDs

falcon bms.cfg file in \Falcon BMS 4.33\User\Config:
g_bExportRTTTextures set to 1?
g_nRTTExportBatchSize set to 1? (or change ‘Export a new set of images to shared memory’ to ‘every 1 video frame’ in MFDE Options). -
I can’t use the last version…the icon shows correctly on the toolbar but the option menu doesn’t show when I click right…it s like blocked…
only 5.7.0 seems work but it is not compatible with 4.33

A few of us played with this earlier today. 0.6.1.1 seems to work - with the exception of the MFDs - if you follow this process:
1. Uninstall your existing versionvia Add/Remove Programs.
2. Reboot
3. Install 0.6.1.1.For everyone else that tried it, this resulted in a completely working installation, with the exception of MFDs. For me, I found that the resulting install worked, but that any interaction with the program results in extremely long pauses. Like two or three minutes between right-clicking the tray icon and the menu appearing. If I waited them out, I was able to get the gauges to appear, and they work correctly for me, so this looks like a once-per-reboot sort of pain, which I can live with. And I use the BMS-exported MFDs, so that’s not an issue for me.

No effect

I got this resolved by installing on the root folder instead of the default location

People who have problems with 0.6.1.1 please post your system details. Let’s see if there’s a common theme here.

Anyone notice there is no “close” x mark to exit from the setup page?
My issue was resolved by deleting 6.1.1 install, downloading and installing 6.1.0 and the rebooting. Works brilliant

QNH is working in the version so cool.

Nice to see Lightning made MFDE 4.33 compatible already. Nice job, works like a charm here at first install.
As you know, several new pits have been included in 4.33, and some have different RWR systems.
One if the BAF MLU which has Carapace. I noticed not all symbology from Carapace is getting extracted on the RWR screen. Is it a possibility to take that into account on a future update? Maybe getting to chose in the options what type of RWR you want to use and get the according symbology.
Related to that. I have an ATD for my pit. Would be great if I chose the ATD TFT option combined with Carapace, that the labels for the OSB’s are also adjusted. Now it shows the block52 RWR labels, which are not the same. Two other minor requests for future updates.
1/ DED font has changed in BMS. Would be nice to see that in the MFDE DED too.
2/ Some pits, like MLU’s, have red & green tape markers on the engine gauges. Would be nice to be able to select those too in the extraction -

This worked well for me, too. Awesome!
