If I could have one thing in the next update it would be those:

https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?23825-A-few-more-HUD-inaccuraciesI just think of the HUD as my main data interface, if it’s updated to a higher level of realism that would make my day :D.

Hi everyone…
Apologies if anyone has already mentioned this but I was just wondering if pilot hypoxia / incapacitation due to lack of pressurisation or failure to correctly use oxygen systems might be possible within the current code. Similar to how it is done with DCS. I think i have some “time of useful consciousness” tables lying around somewhere from my ATPL days if that would be any help…
You … are … my friend.

Noob question. Autogen trees and grass looks superb. Can we have also autogen buildings someday? Is it too much FPS intensive /other reason which is preventing this?
-
Since 4.33 introduced some new gorgeous pits I’d like to have the original A version pit.
Would be a dream to fly the ADF version…
Maybe could be done someday? -

Hehe thanks deejay.
I was wondering if pilot incapacitation due to injury could also be modelled in a similar way.

IL-2 actually does that - it’s really cool/annoying not being able to use the throttle because your left arm got hit!
-
Mh, something like that seems pretty unlikely to me.
With all the adrenaline flowing a human should not really feel even pretty serious wounds in the moment.
A 20 to 30 mm round to the body however should mean instant shock and quick death. getting peppered by shrapnells from a missile warhead, the same.
Yes, it could happen that a pilot gets hit only ba a smaller piece of metal at an area of the body that does not kill him quickly but it seems so unlikely that the devs time is probably better spent elsewhere

Cockpit lighting:
Now with the ability to use different avionics per block something should be done with the lighting… both instruments and ambient… also there are pit variations… some haf vipers have drag shute sw on the misc panel near master arm. -
All HAF Vipers and all Vipers with drug shute have this switch it is nice to be implemented for next update ….
like CMM(continuous moving map in HSD) for HAF F-16’s Block 52+M via avionics config editor, the data are available from my side ,but it is too early for requests i think WE MUST enjoy this beauty 4.33 first and long time…

My wish … a fly funking wish …
When hitting the ground, or sometimes when killed by missile or bullets : having simply suddenly a black screen with no more sound … the best implementation of the … DEATH.
-
…I think the usual standard is a transparent red flashing over the halted screen…so you can actually see how you died. I could go with that!
Wouldn’t mind following OTW for an ejection rather than the camera view (if that hasn’t been implemented…), now that you’ve brought this up…with the blackout model invoked for the ride. That would be a cool add…

If I could add something…
That would be a better integration of the land warfare, to be able to coordinate and do real CAS missions.
That could be done in many ways… through comms, by having a tool to show the TIC on a map for human FAC(A)… etc !
-
Better AI , everything else is good now so just improve AI even more

One of these days you should fly with us on a CAS flight, we can already do a few nice things on a TE On campaign, though, that could be a very good idea - FAC flight receiving messages from AWACS informing them of TIC.
Another thing is that the AI FAC is far from perfect, I fully agree. The funny thing is that Microprose had a ton of projects for them, you can see it on the sound files. But implementing it for real is a PITA…

The sim is close to perfect with the new release. Now the one thing remaining is to add a mission where the goal is to attack and take down those giant alien spaceships from the Independence Day while dogfighting with the little fighter ships.

To keep raising the bar

The CAS bit is what I’d love to see done properly. Sign in with AWACS/JSTAR, be tasked to area by AWACS/JSTAR. Signing in with the JTAC when you arrive at the TIC and then following the JTACs instruction to weapon deployment. With something like a war in Korea you’re probably going to be doing one pass, dropping the lot and leaving while in an Afghanistan type scenario you might have to loiter while an AH64 does it’s job just in case you’re needed or you might be instructed to drop a single bomb on a specific hard point or to make a strafing attack or maybe just a show of force fly past…
Not sure if anyone still uses airborne FAC, but that again would be interesting with the AFAC controlling the engagement and possibly marking the target for you. Maybe the AH64 is designating a target for you to hit, the possibilities are endless.
But I fear all a pipe dream as the programming involved would be horrendous. Imaging having to construct a matrix for the AI to decide how close they want you to drop that 500lb dumb bomb … as one who knows sometimes the TIC want it dropped a LOT closer than the pilot feels is prudent. Calculating any Friendly casualties from the drop … taking account in you matrix of the perceived outcome if the bomb isn’t dropped … talking a panic’d JTAC out of dropping the bomb in favour of using a missile or the gun maybe. It would need to be a sim within a sim and isn’t going to happen … but a man can dream
