WIP: P3 Orion.

RAAF paint would be nice to see as well. Ours have the ability to use torps as well as Harpoons.
Question:
Does Falcon really do much / any ASW activities? -
so are you going to rel it ?
-
anti sub!!!
Of course! And naval patrolling and surveillance tasks too - our (Italian) Marina Militare (Navy) uses for all the activities above the Breguet BR 1150 Atlantic Mk1, in force on our Air Force (AMI). A little old, perhaps, but still reliable and good ‘big bird’, and thus in service.
For this reasons, on my little own I’ll second Hayab’s choice and project, so I can’t await to have a pretty “test-flight” very, very soon. Keep on, mate!
Best regards,

Unfortunately, this max file is destroyed, because HDD fail.
Perhaps some day i will made a new one.

Or store your data on a RAID array. I have lost several HDDs over the years, last was my bad, 2 meters fall… So now I am not taking any chances. All of them are on a RAID 5 NAS (should have went for 10 now that I think of it). One HDD already failed last year, so it was worth the money

Buhhhh it’s the part numbers that matter not the make. In the past I had both wd and Seagate. Wd where always failing like crazy. Cause of work in the past we once returned a whole track some thousands of hdds to Seagate, but that was way long time ago. Now I just bought a black wd. The salesman said “I never saw a black fail” Yeap right like it ain’t mechanical.
What kills the hdds is on off. As a proof of concept in my case I fired up my minimac at 2009 with just a few reboots till last month when it failed.

I lost a 95% filled 1,5 TB Samsung HDD last month.
It simply failed to boot the other day. (motor not running)
@Hayab,
you see it’s not only Seagate, it’s the nature that HDDs
(and SSDs) might fail, and WE know it.So it’s the users part to take care of the data.
That Mazda 767 looks drop-dead gorgeous.
Cheers,

This Mazda 767 was lost too on this day.
This was a hard Lesson for me, never buy a Seagete HDD.
I have two 12y old PATA HDDs from WesternDigital in Raid 0 in my second/backup PC, those drives are runnig after this long time like new.Great work! We recently had a discussion on seagate HDDs as well on another forum and IIRC my team boss gave the tip in other words…“Never buy one”, “you could as well destroy your data right away”.
Never had one, so I can only trust what others say.I feel your pain!
Cheers -
I build a lot of pc’s, as a 2nd hobby job.
So after around 15 years, i can verify that Western Digital’s HDDs are far away better than Seagate’s in the terms of quality!
Also they are a little more “cold” (Western Digital’s).
I would never buy a Seagate…

Ok guys, I’m buying a handful of backup HDDs right away

Ouch, I can feel your pain. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f82/lazystone/Smileys/speechless-smiley-023.gif
HDD fail sounds like there is more great work lost, not “just” the Orion. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f82/lazystone/Smileys/crying.gif
Which should remind us to do frequently backups on another HDD,
… from 2016.

LSHaha…funny to see your comment. Remember at FreeFalcon when I lost almost all my PSDs? You said the same thing back then. I never went about any work without at least a triple backup and frequent auto-saves :).
-
Shit man, that 787b is a beauty. Love to hear that thing scream in GT!
I hear you re the Seagates. Lost a ton of PSDs couple years back to the same manufacturer. Never had a WD fail on me yet and I never went back to Seagate since.
Better luck next time man and beautiful work either way! Will miss the prospect of seeing that P3 around the ship.

I would never buy a Seagate…And you’re doing pretty well, dearest Greek bro! You sure remember that HDD failure I had some months ago, I too have lost 1.5 Tb of data in a ‘whoosh’… that mine wasn’t a Seagate, but the next was a WD like the other two embedded in my actual system.
Oh well, also this one has passed out, aone more lesson learned. With my best New Year Eve wishes and regards, to Nikos and all,
Gianni.
