SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS support thread

Can you use a jetseat and buttkicker both at the same time? If yes, on the same soundcard?

You should be able to, looks like it has a 3.5mm jack pass through, if it’s not a pass through you could use a splitter (what I’m doing with my two amps for the bass tranducers). But I think you need to use the USB connection for the different zone effects anyway.

So analogue for the BK and USB for the jetseat?

That’s riht. As you can see we have 2 set of gain sliders and “Simultaneous Output” checkbox at SimShaker.

Thank you for the answers gents,
Always welcome to come test my seat, or I can drop by, if I’m ever somewhere in the neighbourhood.
I’m game and the offer is open on mine as well anytime
As Candera said, I believe the G Seat and the Jetseat would compliment each other quite nicely. The Jetseat alone is the poorman’s/I don’t want to build all that into my seat solution
I do remember you VP topic about the Gsuit, i have been drooling over that idea for ages as i believe G feedback is the last thing i’d like to have in my pit.
But my golden age of building are over and nowadays i’m too busy flying the pit or managing my relevant of BMS dev aspects. So I’l like to try to keep thinks simple and although i do have looked into the Bergison seat option, i found it’s too complicated for me to put in place in my current pit. (that’s also the reason why i never pursued your way with the Gsuit either )
I’m patient and i’m waiting for a KISS solution for G feedback and i can live with the fact that it won’t be 100% accurate. I just am looking to “some” feedbackHi Red Dog,
thanks for the picture, your cockpit is amazing. What a pity I do not get to Belgium too much
G-feeling effects is in my nearest plan. I’ve implemented that for DCS F-15C and Su-27 JetSeat effects and, having some encouraging feedback from users (link), I’m going to spread it to BMS F-16 as well. Thanks for that André, that’s exactly what i was looking for and knowing the kind of support and devotion you showed this community i am confident this will be something i will really look forward to.
I’ll study the links you provided and if whenever you come close to Belgium, my door is open
On the other hand if you find something you need and not currently implemented in the shared memory, i certainly can try to make it happen over the next releases. So make sure i know about anything you need.I suppose you could place JeatSeat under your goodlooking cushion and have almost the same vibe feeling. Or you could refactor JetSeat as you like. Please see a good example here (link)
There you go, that sounds like a great project to do Now i am really interested in buying one to try this out
Definitely getting more and more drawn to this; Looks like i’ll have to plan a visit by FocalDEsign to try out his
Cheers guys, thanks for the feedback -
Can anything be done to get this thing working as G-Suit?

@Red:
I just am looking to “some” feedback
Well IMO vibrations are vibrations, either coming from G’s, the gun or taxi, so the feeling will be approx. the same;

Ow, I think André could have a nice item to work with after the jetseat with that

My thoughts also.
SDK is available for download too. http://tngames.com/pages/Developers

Problem with the 3rd Space is the half the feedback it gives is not really a place where you would get a lot in flight (the front) and those in the back seem redundant and not as effective if you have a Jetseat. Now that being said I would love to take it apart, see how it works and use the air bladders in different areas. Also note there is a reason they sell a replacement compressor on their site. I’m telling you pneumatics suck to work with for things like this.
EDIT to add: Just sent them an email to see if they would offer some kind of DIY kit, bladders might be able to be worked into a G Suit pretty easily (dang it guys I was past that whole quest!), but I doubt you could do a G Seat style thing with them. As far as I can tell, it takes some serious engineering to get bladders that are holding your weight to respond the way you need them too in a DIY setting. Maybe it’s because I just tried DIY pneumatics instead of some serious engineer, but part of the problem is that were are talking doing is the opposite of most industrial pneumatic stuff is high pressure/low volume and this is low pressure/high volume so it is hard to find good hardware. And at the end of the day this is really me just slaying an old foe than what I would recommend most people do, I still think the Jetseat is going to be the best bang for your buck.

thanks a lot for your support.
BMS shared memory is a pretty good source of data, so currently I have just few wishes

From me, the best G feedback we can have in sim is a inflating G suite. Maybe, as an additional/second option, pallets on the seat (roll & positif Gs) and/or “dynamic” harness (only able to simulate deceleration)

Any interest in something like this?
http://thesubpac.com/subpac-s2-2/
Difference would be it uses audio input and would require a separate audio output (via USB or whatever) to independently trigger it if you don’t want to simply mirror the main outs of your system. Can think of a few methods to create an independent trigger which references shared memory…

I might be mistaken, but I think Simshaker sound module can do this. IIRC the software launches custom made wav files for the Jetseat, but could be adapted to send adjusted wav files for that subpacS2 for events read out of shared memory (so independent of in pit audio & comms).

Pretty much what I was thinking… Requirements would be an independent audio output and some code to bridge shared memory conditions to specific audio samples which give the desired kinetic effect through the transducer(s).
You can purchase bass shakers quite easily and bolt them to a suitable frame/chair…

Gents, may I ask you to put in the thread SimShaker support related posts.
Thank you. -

Direct Gz feedback, probably. However on a practical side, the Jetseat I think can give some of the the feedback of Gz and maybe some of the the axes. There is many practical reasons we aren’t using G Suits already. But I also won one of the 3rd Space Vests cheap off eBay so I will be sing if I can use it to overcome my old nemesis of pneumatics to make a viable G suit solution if I can A. somehow get a simple software solution going and then B. carefully cut it up and tailor it into a G Suit solution (I’ll crate abother thread on that when I know more). But again, honestly my G state SA is so much better than previous versions with the combo of HMCS G readout, BMS pilot grunt, and SimShaker high AOA shudder.
FWIW, a G Seat can give Gz, Gx, and Gy feedback and a harness still can give negative Gz info too.

Yep, which also gives the advantage of not making things rumble at wrong times for those using bass transducers like Buttkickers. Also my question on the subpac would be what does that do that the Jetseat doesn’t do and for cheaper.

Can you elaborate on what “G-feeling effect (switched off by default) spreaded to cover BMS F-16” is please?
