4.33u1 Issues (Known or not)
-
Finally got configured (basic setup, everything on one monitor). Started a Rolling Fire campaign. Selected the first DEAD mission. The following has happened four times now today on four different (exit, restarted) missions…
Start mission, gear up, headed to target, later go to outside views of enemy aircraft in vicinity, come back to my pit 3D view. Do this repeatedly with no issues. Then, do it once more and I’ve completely lost my HUD display and my MFD displays in my pit. No amount of view switching brings them back.
It’s repeatable in the sense that it happens again and again, yet random in that switching views DOESN’T blank out the displays until it does (seemingly randomly), and then I have no choice but to discard the mission.
Any ideas?

Double check that possibly your controls (hotas) haven’t stuck on the Shift key. This happens occasionally to me and I simply use a SHIFT + 2 and the Cockpit with HUD comes back.

Not actual bms but windows problem.
Win10 64bit tried to set the -window command in the shortcut but the field to do so doesn’t exist, so I had to enable display extraction, but ain’t this eat fps?sent from my Xperia Z3 compact via TapaTalk
 my bad… wrong try… I was doing it directly to the exe and not on the shortcut…
So first create the shortcut then do the trick…Doooohhhhhh…

With a group of friends, we made a LAN, and a four flight group. We made a new TE with F-18’s and a carrier. Group leader landed ok, but other aircrafts were seeing the carrier on a different position. Leader saw them explode miles away of the carrier, into the sea, when trying to land. Carrier position sync problem?
Edit: Maybe it was the client low bandwidth (512). I read it has to be a minimum of 1000. But anyway, there were only 4 aircraft and 1 carrier, shouldn’t that be enough bandwidth?

433.1
After te creation
DTC Comms, Set Tower, seems to work ok
after 3rd 4th time running te
noticed DTC not setting tower to carrier CVN65, in Comms UHF 15?
works in 433, “Carrier16 / 227.500”

Same here. First recovery (yesterday) no problem. Just now: 3 traps in a row and each time I think “it” thought I was going to launch - unable to taxi. Had to relaunch. Just hit escape on the fourth one to exit. Not a big deal really. Great work. Again!

Just hit the launch bar disconnect (shift-k I think?) and you can taxi. The real issue is if you snap to full power on touchdown and see “CATAPULT READY”:p

That was it…in keeping with all those Mil. Channel shows I’ve watched over the years, “…slam it forward at touchdown, in case of bolter”. Forgot about the shift-k thingie, thanks.

Will 4.33 TEs and campaign be able to import into 4.33.1 without issues??? We have a current Naval Campaign and a ton of training missions and Im curious if they are compatible.

I checked in Korea BMS 4.33 U1 the HAF RWR type 3 have the default USAF RWR Image and buttons , i think it is easy to fix with a hotfix.
some instractions could be found below and lod-texture from my friend Cougar56th
===================================================================
The Texture files will go in your ….terrdata/objects/KoreaObj folder for the theater you are working on.The Data/Art/Ckptart/F-16C 52+ and F-16C 52+CFT folders will go in the theaters Art/Ckptart folder
To install the cockpits, you have to use LOD Editor. There is no CT number for since they are just parent numbers you need.
To install in LOD Editor, open LOD Editor.
Then click on the button that says “Setup Wizard”
Then it will bring up another window…click on the “Append/Select a Parent Number” Now, to add a new parent number, -1 has to be in the box, but in this case just put the parent number of the cockpit in the box to add it. For example, the first part of the cockpit, the parent number is 2798. So you will place 2798 in the box. After that press OK.
Then you have to load the LOD into that Parent. Click on the Append/Select LOD1 button and browse for the model you want to add. In this case…look for 2798/Model_0.lod folder and add it.
Another box will pop up…just put 600000 in it.
After you have added the LOD, and since there are no Lo Resolution LODs, just click the Update Parent Record button. You should get a message saying Update successful. Then you can close out that part of LOD editor. After you have added the Parent/LOD to the database…in the NORMAL box to the right, place the parent number in the Normal box and press the Normal button. Then make sure the following are placed in the correct boxes…
Hitbox Dimensions:
Radius = 33.779999
MAX X = 1.818000 MIN X = -20.268000
MAX Y = 9.359003 MIN Y = -9.359003
MAX Z = 3.513991 MIN Z = -7.566937Texture Sets:

I detected a bug that when I change the theater (of course I go to the desktop and back in), sometimes the FalconBMS makes a CTD (famous, crash to desktop) I don’t know if this is normal but with earlier versions didn’t happen to me.
Another thing that occurs to me, different to the last, is that in multiplayer in RAMP START, RADAR is OFF or MFM is OFF, and switching to ON it still in the same status.¿??
-
Trying to reduce the BARCAP patrol duration in an online MP event recently, BMS crashed twice on my end (KTO Strong), server and other players were unaffected.
All the best, Uwe

I posted complete game freeze apparently due to trying to play an in game video and unable to proceed in campaign; is there a fix for now I can use or lay out how to get around it? Intro videos turned off btw.
-
Try renaming the AVI files so they wont be found, “Data/Movies/”
-
rename each of the 18 avi files in that folder to anything else?
@Shadow:Try renaming the AVI files so they wont be found, “Data/Movies/”

I haven’t tried it yet, but according to the manual. It seems “-nomovie” command line suppress playback of all movies, intro and in-game.
I had a same problem in 4.32 and that time I reinstalled it allowing installer to install a video codec.
