Sukhoï Su-7

Hello,
About my 3D work, why do I do this? because I learn. I am far from knowing everything in 3D, and, I do these modeling job for pure entertainement.
To be honest, I never play BMS. I almost never played BMS. My passion is 3D modeling.
When you do your handbooks, you probably work chapter after chapter right? You probably like to improve some stuff after reading back your job? I do the same. But with 3D, you can’t just erase and restart. Things need to be done in a proper direction.
Am I too hard with myself? Probably. I am an artist. I please myself first, then, I offer it. This is the reason I do this. Just to give you an example : one kind guy of this forum helped me to find some infos about J-8 landing lights. I implemented on J-8 this technology. Then, I also implemented on J-7G. Then, It gave me some ideas to improve Mirage F1, and, while Hayab explained me some stuff about it (ptypes), I also decided to make a revision on almost all of my models, to make something more accurate. I work like so.
I don’t see F-2A, J-7, J-8, Shirane, Kuznetsov as different projects. They are my project. They evolve together.
Then, as an example I am encountering troubles with J-7G and J-8I parents configuration. Models and LODs are 100% done. Nothing is missing. I spent hours trying to solve this issue. I suppose this is a unit configuration issue. Then I got tired with it. I needed to refresh myself, then, I made a 3D mesh of Su-7, because it is fun.
People might watch stuff on TV or funny pictures on imgur to entertain and refresh. I make 3D models to refresh. This is just a game for me, done on my free time, offered for free to everybody.
A Piano professor friend of mine who teaches in Berlin told me some years ago : I play music for myself. If I play for audience, music quality won’t be satisfying. I only please audience, when I fully please myself first : because it means it was the best I could give.
I want to give the best to the people who like my work.
And I am honoured to receive so many thanks my enthusiasts.
Thank you to all who like my work.
Your servant,
Radium

Yeah man, That’s the spirit !

Putting all the eggs in the same bag and calling it constructive comment is not really usefull, but as someone said before, what one believes is … well, it is only what one believes.
It is not like Radium is starting a project and does not finish it, he has a method and a very constructive way to go forward with his work.
Keep going Radium.

This morning and begining of the afternoon was Sukhoi Su-7 time, now, time to go back to Mirage F1!

Well, don’t worry… there is plenty of stuff to do before, you have much time to think about it!!!
By the way, I’d like to make a poll there, to make you all participate in the project.
I will make 3 textures for that bird.
- One Russian CCCP,
- One North Korean
- One Syrian.
For Syrian and North Korean, There is not much choice, so, I’ll take care myself.
For Russian/CCCP, I’d like to offer you the right to decide which one I’ll do, assuming I want to make a camo tecture (no bare metal). I found many many Russian styles for Su-7 camoflage, so, let’s propose what you like, I’ll chose the one I’ll do from your proposals! I’ll choose from yours.
Regards,
Radium

Hello,
This morning, I had some free time, I then decided to improve Su-7 model. Two days ago, I also made all the gears.
I addeed the intake protection, to make some more realism. It will disappear with the first engine startup action.
Tonight, I want to close J-7G and J-8I chapter, and find were my latest issues are coming from…
Cheers,
Radium

Radium personaly I would prefer you spend this time for some 3d tutorials. Not something fancy and time consuming from your side.
You r quite skillful and your way of work could inspire and ease others. I believe this would be more valuable, as it could be the ignition for good things in the future.Sent from TapaTalk

Hello,
I have no time to make tutorials, sorry…
But from my own tests, I can show something… To those who follow me!
Dema, I always show my work in BMS world.
And many others… Everything I did was WIPed ingame.
Then, I am sorry, your comments towards what I decide to make public is not fair, as I make a lot of efforts to share some WIP.
Cheers,
Radium
