Balkans Theater 4.33.1.1 update

Ok, if it´s realistic its fine.
But how to enter the RW 22 or leaving the 04 without running into one of the Approach lights , in special from / to the East Side ??Whats more realistic, driving throug Poles or touching down ~100 ft earlier (not on the Runway but even on concrete) mmmmhhh…… tricky decision…

The best compromise is to leave them as they are.
You will taxi over them via dispaced threshold in order to take position for take off (unrealistic since taxi over lights), BUT you will have real rule with the green THR lights and correct touch down at night, since it is strictly prohibited to touch down over a dispaced threshold!
This is my suggestion, the decision is yours ;).

Another Question,
i know that it is suggested to start a new Campaign because of the updated .cam files,Are TE´s affected as well ?
Had a few build with the previous Version , but now in some of them no Nato Flights are visible, and in some others the Flights are shown in the 2D but after a few seconds the Flightpath disappears.

Yes they affected. Since we have a new “te_new.tac” file that is responsible for created missions via Tactical Engagement builder, I suggest you to create new ones, in the name of safety and stability.
The last thing that you want in a great online event with a lot of friends, is a crash…

The other thing you can try is convert them with Mission Commander and see if that works. If not, I would re create them.

Open them with MC and simply save them again solved the Problem THX

Hi there.
Well did you try with the new main installer here: http://www.thunderbolts56thvfw.com/Downloads/433/Theaters/Balkans_Theater_4.33.1.1.zip , that don’t need the update exe file?
If your Norton antivirus don’t find it as a virus (false alarm), then uninstall the previous Balkans theater version and install this new one.

sorry wrong theater.

Nikos.Hi
Pumping up this thread again.I noticed that there are Threshold Lights available as an single Feature (for example used in Gioa del Colle RW 14L)
In the most other cases they are Linked to the MALSR, which often are placed in a “strange” position so that you have to taxi through them.
Of course this can be fixed by moving them out of the way, but (because they are linked ) the Position of the Threshold Lights will be moved as well, which causes the Problem that they are now away from the Threshold.
One question to the Theater Developers:is it possible to unlink/disconnect the MALSR from the Threshold Lights so that it is possible to place them independend from eachother ?

Thats a very good Idea! I back it. It woulf be a very very nice feature.

I should be possible but I would have to look into it. I think the threshold lights something thing else other than vertices in the node tree in LOD editor. Same for the MALSR lights. The light fixtures use vertices and those can be removed but then you would have lighting suspended in mid-air
