Israel 1980s - UOAF edition

Wow!!! It seems to be a nice theater! This evening I’ll install it!
Nisce work guys!
-
Thanks for your work and testing … just a little question. victory conditions is the same as the default ITO?
In the current build we haven’t messed with victory conditions yet but we have built two campaigns and respective oob from scratch using research. Long term gameplay balancing is next on the list.
-
Just a quick question Krause, Is this going to have any conflict with Israel Theater?
Never Mind…Just installed it…its working

Nope it uses completely different directories and theater definition files.
-
This is so awesome!!! The 80s are my favorite era of air combat and this theater/campaign has so much potential for some awesome online action!
Words are not enough to describe my excitement…

Good news Krause.
Concerning victory conditions, I started a thread about that topic. If you have anything to share there, you’re more than welcome.

We haven’t messed with our conditions yet, but once we dive in we’ll share whatever we find.

@Krause ever think about a better Kfir? Definatelly when i finish the IAF Phantom im gonna give them to u. During that period they had them allready converted? I mean IAF or they just had the original E? Cause if they had used still original then i can make it almost fairly quick (just the camo i have to make). To make an E i just have to delet some antennas or add others and i have an E. If you want let me know!

The F-4E is accurate for the early 80’s campaigns.
The “Kurnass 2000” upgrade entered service in April 1989.
We have a late 80’s campaign somewhat arbitrarily set in “1988.” This was so Egypt could acquire Western tech: F-16’s, Mirage 2000EM… We could change it to '89 for all I care
If you provided both models, with camos, I’m sure we could use them.
And what’s this about a better Kfir? Go on…
-
My friends and I have been playing tons of the 88 campaign and we love it!
Can’t wait to see updated for this.
One complaint we have is the annoying jet engine/sonic boom sound that happens when joining the campaign. It’s waaaay too loud.
Also there is no way to turn the pilot model off and no way to use Hebrew voices. (using the included exe errors when changing these)
-
It’s because you have your interface sounds turned up way too loud for some reason, just set the slider to halfway… Sigh, no one is into the sonic boom huh…I was trying to get you hyped. I guess I could replace back the (default) most annoying sound in the world. Not sure why people are so attached to that horrifying screeching noise but alright LOL
This is the default sound:
Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Sounds\Ui\camp_over.ogg
wtf is that even supposed to be ??I’ll talk to nhawk about the pilot model and Hebrew voices, we just noticed that problem too, thanks
Think we just need to update the exe to point to our folder. Duh -
About the kfir nothing particular. For now. Later who knows ?
As for F-4 i cannot still provide the Kurnass its on the works i can only provide normal E. I will make some research for camos and externa details and i promise ill get back to you guys as soon as possible!EDIT: just read that externally was almost the same with E the Kurnass, Avionics and other stuff was upgraded. Not only the refualling probe… 1 request only whatever info/Serial number you can give me for squadrons and whitch of them had refuelling probe and witch had not.

The Israelis also called the F-4E the Kurnass btw.
We have the most use for the F-4E, I’ll talk to nhawk, finalize the squadrons and get back to you.

Manos, would you be willing to do an Egyptian texture as well? that would be amazing

I think that would be more easy than the IAF one Its Hill Gray with some red-orange Markings right? By the way allready started finishing the IAF one.
-
That’s correct… amazing, thankyou. The F-4 is such a big part of this theater, this will be huge

-
I believe then it should also be given to the ITO theater devs.

I’m afraid this is the closest I’ve come to Egypt Air Force F-4Es - catching them (in piss poor weather) on their way back to CONUS for overhaul, hence the temporarily USAF markings on them.
But it does show the washed out orange dayglow sections. The other Egypt AF Phantoms were all equally weathered and washed out, also seeing them going back they didn’t appear to have been repainted really.@UOAF Team: I’ve only just installed the theater and had a quick look, haven’t flown it yet, but I’m already extremely impressed with how great the menu looks, the campaign section etc. Very polished and I can’t wait to fly it! Especially online
