Kneeboarding ipad

Does anyone know of a way to display knee boards on an iPad?
-
I’ve put the files on dropbox. Works well.
Cheers!

Drop Box for WDP’s datacard or any reader like PDFreader or GoodReader for AIPs and charts,
-
For charts, I use the main link for interactive map index and use the interactive maps to get specific charts

Nevada 4.3x Interactive map

don’t worry arty, it’s been like this since 4.32

There’s also a way to turn the IPAD into a moving map.
But I found the method too complicated forbeing really usefulI think a kneeboard app for mostly datacards and charts would really be welcome
Dropbox works but it’s still a lot of work to setup and quite often when you fly MP, you don’t really have the time to set all this upA simple app to speedup the process would be great, unfortunately developping app on apple market is quite a process…

What I do is to take screen shots of the kneeboards I want and then load them into Photo Albums manually using iTunes (on my Mac, but I’d think there’d be no reason you couldn’t do the same on a PC) - this way they get put in folders of my choosing, and I can simply tap an flip. I have all of the stock approach plates, airport diagrams, checklists, etc. loaded on my iPads using this method. Takes some time to do the screenshots and organization, but worth the time.
Moving map on your knee…haven’t been interested in that. But if it’s possible I may be…one day.

That’s a good idea. I’d been struggling to find a decent PDF reader that let you swipe to change pages and didn’t want to mess with iBooks. Thanks!

For the iPad you have app to access your PC files directly via LAN. I use Filebrowser myself.
Save the datacards in A5 format. Connect your iPad, browse to the directory and you have perfect access.
The saved filenames are ordered so you have all the datacards and maps in the correct order.Gr Falcas

can you make a short tutorial for that ?

What else do you want to know? Its really nothing more than I wrote above.
In WDP, save the datacard and use the app to access the pics on your iPad.
Using dropbox is even more work and much more complicated.Just download the filebrowse app, I think it was free. Work great and not only for this but for accessing all files on your PC.

One tip for those who have Win10 and want to use filebrowse… instead of being logged in on your microsoft online account, I have to be logged in local.

There is an ITunes app called Document Pro that is very good . You can save individual pages or entire manual. I kneeboard with individual pages, and my manuals are in there, too

You can also put Adobe Reader on your iPad and store pdfs that way; you have to e-mail the pdf to yourself, tap and hold, and iOS will bring up the option as to where to store (including iBooks, if you’d rather use that option). Then you can delete the e-mail.

Sometimes I wonder if an app like D Pro, being less common then something like A R, will stop being supported at some point. That’s my only concern wit D Pro. I have AR on my IPad already, with most of the BMS stuff already in it, albeit via Dropbox. I may just try your suggestion. Thx
