Mission Commander beta release

@Cloud:
Not criticizing, just stating the facts, but Falcas does a good job of keeping up with that when something is amiss in a new version!!
Yep, that is happening from time to time. Lots of coding is done which if for newer BMS code. So you won’t see it with 4.33, but MC is up to date with the future already.
Which in some cases breaks it for “older” versions. Usually a simple fix.Gr Falcas

Hey guys. I’m on Israel campaign, trying to force my F18a’s to carry Aim-7s. It won’t accept a max value other than 0. Any idea how to get this missile loadable on the jet? Thanks!

Hi Falcas,
Thank you for the MC, it’s a great help in mission editing…I am trying to find out in the Battalion section, how to you choose which vehicle is alive…Thank you for directing me to the answer.

Double click the battalion, double click the line you want to change the number of units of until you reach the required number.

You must add AIM-7 to F-18’s hardpoint by BMS editor.
MC can not do that alone.
-
there are a couple ways in falcon edit you need to look at.
1st put it on the hard points that you want under vehicles/aircraft/f/a18a, double click, and under weapons click view while hard point is highlighted, ad aim 7.
2nd they need to be added to sqdn stores. this can be found under weapons tab.
or you can go to Units/sqdns/f18a sqdn… double click that line, and it’s sqdn stores will be on a button on the window that pops up. -

Copy, I figured it out several minutes after posting.
Any idea why they aren’t already allotted to the hornet by default? Found it a little strange…

Maybe they thought AIM-7 is outdated now but some theaters based on 1980s do have AIM-7 or other SARH missiles by default.
Check Korea EM 1989 and Israel 1980s theaters. Those two are fun!!:)

Hi Falcas
Mission Commander is a brilliant tool so thanks very much for all your hard work putting it together.
Starrats & I are working on a theatre at present and I’ve spent this afternoon pulling together a NAVAIDS document for it. I used the MC Station ILS tab for this and the Save TXT functionality. It took quite a while and a fair bit of manipulation in Excel to get it all sorted into tabular format. It would have been great to have had a csv download of the Station ILS table as it appears in MC instead.
Can I put this forward as a suggestion for a future release please?
Cheers

Well he is quite for a long time now…
Very deep probably on the code, working for the changes for the 4.34…
He has 3 things, at least, under his armpit… MC WDP EU Theater… -
Hi there, is there a workaround for the error that pops-up on the map of MC ?
Cheers
PS: Ok win 7 compatibility seems to correct the issue with win10…

Documented that in earlier posts
But Falcas said that would be solved in future release… I was just trying to find a way to use the current version…
Cheers

Hi Falcas.
MC is a great tool to edit missions, each time with more options. There is a manual where you can see all the functions, or those that are advanced.a greeting

For a few versions now, I keep getting this error whenever I try to press Apply after making changes to a flight. After clicking away the error notification, I always have to press Cancel to get out of the flight window.
The change is not visible after pressing Cancel, yet if I then proceed to save and reload the mission, all changes made have in fact been applied correctly. When editing battalions, I don’t get this error.

Hey Eagle-Eye,
thank you for your observation! It never occured to me that, despite the error message, the changes (like renaming the flight) are in fact applied correctly.
Very good to know, since i am currently preparing a set of TEs, and this info enables me to do the “Mission Commander magic” that i have been missing dearly…
