Nice mod guyz!

Hi,
I have seen/tested the other 3D cockpits that Qawa has made and they are very good!!!
Nice work there Snail. :bowd:
For the gun pods, you know you can set the Gun location in the FM.dat file?Gr Falcas
Yes I know, but what I meant is the following.
The JA37 is the fighter version and has an internal canon so that’s no problem (OT: it’s an Oerlikon, with an automatich aiming system: it was coupled with the radar so the pilot only had to point the gun cross on the target, lock it and the autopilot would steer the aircraft in the right position, guided by the radar. It was a bumpy ride but very accurate. JA37 pilots could open fire with succes at a much greater distance then other aircraft). The other Viggen to get flyable is the AJS37, which shows up as the first aircraft in the tactical reference. It’s primary a ground attack aircraft. The AJS didn’t have an internal cannon, but could carry a podded one: the Aden gun pod. No fancy aiming system like the JA has. Falcon code doesn’t make a difference between the two, either an aircraft has a gun at all times, or not. There is no choice yet to make it dependant of a pod.

That’s a nice model. To improve it a bit more, you should convert all the canopy nodes to Ptype 25.
That’s for the 3D modeller I guess. Thanks for the suggestion

Great work guys! Looking forward to flying that baby.

I disagree on the niver part
+2 as a RAM has 2 horns. I don’t like snivels, ha. Besides the Draken IS FUGLYFUBAR.

@ Snowman: It used to be. They completely f*cked it up by painting it in the wrong colors and even glossy too…… What were they thinking, that a splinter camo is a fancy dress or something???
Edit: this is what it looked(and should look) like:
This is the fancy new dress……
They asked me what colors to use. That wasn’t easy to find out because it aren’t standard colors. After a month I had the right info. But by then the guy who would do the painting, had already bought paint himself.
Looks more like ‘your first self-painted model kit’……
Yep, quite angry here

I like the Special Red Viggen, someone should get busy on that!!!

I think Molni will appreciate that one
Though it’s a nice skin, it’s a one time paint scheme, made for the last flight of the AJS37 of F10 squadron. You know, from this movie:
Btw, the music was made by members of the squadron themselves: hence the ‘less than queen’ quality
For mission flying, I prefer the splinter camo.

I posted some screenies here from the current state:

Very nice, but why do they shine like bare metal? Is it the model itself or is it the skin texture that make the shine?I don’t know the word for it, varnish maybe? Turtlewaxed
Cheers

I think it is the BMS DX9: even concrete taxiways can blind you sometimes. I don’t know if that effect can be altered.

Hi Snail,
Move your HDR bloom slider completely to the left. You can find it in Setup, Graphics.

Snail, that “HDR bloom slider” is the only answer i’ve heard so far…Unlike FF/DXM code which can set different reflectivity values in different parts of model, FWIW the BMS4 code seems apply the same reflectivities to all nodes/faces.
-
Hi Falcas,
Does it effect the whole BMS appearance?
