YAME64 suite
-
Coming back to my earlier questions,
2 pc’s on W7
One is fast and runs BMS and YAME64
3 screens connected (2mfd 1beamer)Two is standard office pc with onboard graphics, no fancy stuff.
only one 800x600 MFDE screen connectedBoth are linked via crossover and different ip’s are fixed
2 issues:
Server tab on BMS pc is really slow and no ip’s show up, only 0.0.0.0 (both)
On client pc YAME64, as soon as I start client, it tries to open MFDE screen but freezes and stops working. What am I missing?
can you send me the logs?
-
First of all I found out that YAME needs to ‘see’ internet in order to display the 2 ip numbers (local and internet)
Because I always run my pit disconnected from internet, that’s why it took so long to find that out.
My friendly request is a YAME64 that runs on 2 pc’s with no internet involved. So the Server YAME64/BMS pc seems to run fine now.
but the Client YAME64 pc still crashes after starting the button ‘start client’
On both pc’s only the MFDE is ticked.
The pc’s see each other in a homegroup networkThis is the serverside log from windows;

I could locate YAME logs, but in the logs folders it was only ‘start/stop’ messages
Do I need a high-end graphics card for the client to run?

Hi, after using YAME (Excellent mod, thanks!!!) I notice that I cannot move the cursor to the lower extra monitor in which I put the extractions, only in the three main ones. Does anyone have a solution for this so that I can use the cursor on the instruments??
Thanks…

Can you give more informations? The extraction screen is running yame on the same pc as the other three monitors or is connected via network?

It’s not really made to use that way. With a touch screen it will work ok. With a mouse you need to use alt-tab to get the mouse focus out of the BMS window to get to the YAME part (wherever on the monitors that is). And after a click, the mouse will respawn inside BMS window, so each click outside would require alt-tab & moving of the cursor.
That’s how I needed to test the current YAME version before I got a touch screen available -
Yes, Focal is right, but there is another setting in falcon bms.cfg
set g_bEnableExclusiveMouseCapture 0
if you set it to 1 you can use your mouse without alt-tab.

Thanks guys, will try that…

Hi guys,
I made some updates on the PC , so my display configuration is (all in one PC):
- 2560x1080 Monitor (21:9) connected to a Radeon RX480 graphics card
- 1920x1080 Touch screen which I use for YAME and Helios connected to a Radeon 290X graphics card
I also updated to Windows 10 and I’m having some issues:
- If I try to start YAME in normal mode it doesn’t start at all.
- If i change it to execute it as an administrator it executes properly and I see all the instruments perfectly, but then the mouse cursor starts to lag and I can’t even clic in other windows or applications.
When I was in Windows 7 I didn’t have the first monitor, so I don’t know If it is monitor related or windows 10, I guess the second as I previously had 3840x1080 curved display and it was working well.
Thanks. Best regards.

in yame do you have window maskef or antialiased? if so disable those settings
-
Thanks Roccio, I tried to disable antialiased first but same error, so I went with masked the and now it works perfectly again.
Does this mean I won’t be able to see it masked? Anyway I can mask it again?
Thanks. Best regards.

the masking has some big problems with one of the Windows update (iirc from 1709) so it won’t be available in the next release. this should not be a big problem as you can set helios to stay in foreground

Thanks, it works perfectly It was just curiosity.
Best regards.

Hi Roccio,
I am trying to use YAME32 Client on Windows XP, but It does not work: do you have advices?Thank You in advance.
Mauro

Found this on the min requirements on the BMS home page. Win XP support was dropped in 4.33 Update 3–only Update 1 and 2 will work on XP. This was due to future requirements and lack of OS support.

Mauro
what is the problem? and the system spec? and are you running yame as a network client or this xp pc is your falcon bms pc?
-
Hi Roccio,
Falcon BMS runs on win10 64 bit, and on this pc also runs YAME 64 Server. On an old netbook Asus eeepc900 with win XP SP3 runs YAME32 like client. The two pc are connected using LAN. previous version of YAME runs very well, but the last version does not run: when I start that, winxp says me that it is not a win32 application.Best Regards
-
Errrr yame64 doesn’t mean a 64bit application?
U can’t run s 64bit app on a 32bit operating system.Sent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk
-
Yame offers both 64 and 32 bit version.
Make sure you use the 32bit exe for your xp pc. -
Thank for your answer People, but obviously my english in not good: I’ll try to explain it again:
- Falcon BMS runs on a WIN 10 64 bit PC and on this PC runs YAME SERVER 64bit version;
- on another PC runs WIN XP 32 bit and ON THIS PC runs YAME CLIENT 32bit version;
- the two PCs are LAN connected.
The previous version of YAME ( 64 bit server side, and 32 bit client side ) runs fine; if I try the same configuration with last YAME release, when I starts the client side have the error “this is not a WIN32 application” .
But sure I am doing some type of error that I don’t understand…:(In each case my congratulations, YAME SUITE is a great work .
