Falcon BMS 4.34 Changes you noticed.

2. ski jump is great. Besides su33, i try AV-8 and Su39.
AV8, deck moving is very sticky. barely take off…got to reduce weapon load.
su39, hard to lift up due to thrust and load.supplement:
1. my bad, i forgot to release gear brake Alt-P, once done, deck moving is ok.
2. try AV8 ski jump again - i remember some article said, RN harrier pilot will slew nozzle down when jet up the jump ramp - i try this trick and it works.
3. try AV8 takeoff from cat 3. it runs much faster and, sometimes the speed makes ac hit the bumping bow ramp… there must be a speed limit for cat 3 long run.
4. su39, heavy load ac still can’t lift up… even from cat 3. leave it alone.btw the kuz top mast radar - top plate, is not two-parellel plates, they got a tilt angle.

To me this was FF5.3. Whoa, 10 years ago.
FF 5.5 was my favorite, some of my screensaver images are from it.

Hand on A/G Gun selection - Press and hold Uncage button while in A/G mode. Yay. Thankyou.
Does anyone know if Cursor Zero ‘CZ’ has a HOTAS function?

I would love to know that also. Thanks for strafe toggle heads up.

Well I suppose you could map MFD OSB #9 (for the FCR and TGP) and/or OSB #10 (for CZ on the HSD). But you’d have to do that for left or right MFD, so you would need to work out which MFD (left or right) and which button (OSB 9 or 10) you wanted.
Callbacks are in the BMS Keystrokes - Defaults.pdf in your \Falcon BMS 4.34\Docs\01 Input Devices folder, e.g.: left MFD OSB 9 is SimCBEOSB_9L (which is already mapped to Ctrl Alt 9 on the keyboard if you are using the default 4.34 keyfile).

Not in BMS. I think some blocks/tape have one, but I’m not even sure. It would be handy though

I’m pretty sure a second TMS down after break Area/Point/ inertial track should CZ. At least in some blocks. An F-16 pilot confirmed it in these forums a couple years ago.
I’m really enjoying the SPI diamond visible in JHMCS….we would greatly appreciate the ability to generate HMCS markpoints, please at some point?..… fantastic job on 4.34.

Thank you!! I had no idea such function existed both in real and in 4.34!!!

Regarding Falcon BMS, this is untrue: the “SimRadarCursorZero” callback does exactly that, without needing to mess with separate OSB buttons. I have it bound to a button on my HOTAS and it works as expected.
Cheers

Might seem a minor thing, but I quite like the docs rearrange and tweaks to the cougar/mfd setup. Having trim already on the unshifted layer and POV on the shifted layer saves me swapping that each release
The game appeared to pickup and correctly map most of my HOTAS axis too. Just had to swap radar range and right toe brake around.
From this thread, looks like there’s plenty of new things to play with, but sometimes it’s the little things that count!

I noticed that if I’m single-player running a TE, for instance, and I change my acdata(plane I’m flying).dat to increase the number of chaff/flares to 90/90, the program crashes now. Didn’t used to.
So apparently, the software now checks for original acdata/*.dat integrity before it starts a scenario???
PS - Config ‘Require Same A/C Data in Multiplayer’ is disabled, but it shouldn’t matter anyway in single-player mode.
PPS - Is there an undocumented config setting that will allow me to tweak acdata values in single-player for experimental purposes???
Which AC ? Do you have the TE ?
That should be possible in SP without consequences.

wow cool. I need a master cheat sheet of all the HOTAS shortcuts, wonder if I’m still missing any…

That’s what I thought, crusader. But it happens with the TE 01 and 03 with the F16B-15, and in TE 21 with the F16CM-52. The only thing I changed in the respective acdata fm dat files was nChaff = 90 and nFlares = 90 (instead of 60/30)

Just tested with the B15 in TE 03 and nChaff / nFlares set to 90, no issues, even if I dispense chaff/flares
I thought it might be a consistency issue between total number of chaff/flares and each dispenser definition, but apparently it does not matter.
When does the crash happen ? Do you have a crashlog ?

Amazing, it works ! I checked and it is not documented at the Cougar RL function diagrams

if you mean the COugar real programming in the BMS docs, you are again wrong Soldano !!
Dash 1 Pg30
Dash-34 1.1.1.4.4Maybe you need to look better before spreading false report?

Documentation error Uncage long toggles between STRF and AG modes. It goes both ways!

Can you be more specific rather than semantic?
