TrackIR View?????
-
Is there an issue with the forward view being off center to the right in 4.34? I am using TrackIR and the HUD is off center to the right. I have to turn my head slightly left and hit recenter. But if I straighten my head and hit recenter, it goes back to the right. I have my IR Sensor in perfect position.

This is nothing to do with BMS IMO - by default, I start looking down into the seat, so I look straight ahead then I hit recenter and it’s job done.

It is a TrackIR issue. But I haven’t been able to fix it. The HUD is about 15 degrees over to the right when TIR is centered. I have tried several versions of the software to no avail.

I generally have to re-center TrackIR after entering the cockpit. I believe the default key stroke is F12 (that’s what my TrackIR is set to at least). Before entering the game next time take note of that centering key and use it freely while in the 'pit.
Hope this helps.

Jolly read his first post, he did recenter. That was the first thing he did. Mailman, you don’t really believe that no else would have noticed it in 4.34 by now? Everyone else works fine so it must be in your system. Im not at my computer right now but I know there are some calibration tools in the TRACKER software that if not set symmetrical can skew the image. Check there next.

I don’t know but I experienced something similar if I play in the daytime on a sunny day because of light coming around the edges of the window blinds.
I solved it by angling the trackir head away from the light source by about 20 degrees and moving the trackir slightly to the opposite side of the angling. So that it is angled towards me a bit.

I’m guessing it’s happening every flight, and so pressing middle mouse to reset the panning etc. won’t resolve it?

Yes, he did say that, and I missed it. My apologies!

I assume you’ve tried a different profile and restarted the sim.

I read somewhere else that he got it fixed, it was a window resolution problem IIRC, something between the screen and the chair.

He solved his issue. Like many said, it was a TrackIR issue, not BMS. Additional light was throwing TrackIR off, a common issue. Placement on the monitor can be important as well, making sure the three pippers are as close to the center as possible when reset, and also not getting blocked when head is turned (by a big nose, hat brim, etc.). That TrackIR GUI is essential to finding light aberrations or centering issues.
If you want some cool extra functionality for your TrackIR Reset and Pause commands, try VoiceAttack (voice recognition command software) – I can barely remember a time when I pressed actual buttons to reset or pause my TrackIR, these days, I just say, “Set”, while keeping focus on HOTAS and maintaining maximum SA. VoiceAttack lets you make simple command words perform simple tasks like pressing buttons in the game for you, check it out if you’re interested - I hate to shill, but it’s too cool to not mention. Cheers!

Why yes I did. Still have my hat too! Flew until Bulldog disappeared, then went to the 20th. Now starting out with the 440th. Good to see you Snook!

Sorry for not responding earlier. Was frustrated with another issue. My TrackIR issue was solved by not using Windowed Mode. I have to start BMS in Full Screen for some reason, or it throws off my TrackIR Center View. Thanks for all the suggestions, and thanks Badger for covering for me Hopefully will be flying soon.
