Is the number of parts a game breaking problem or more an issue for older PCs? Just asking as I am unfamiliar with campaign development.

basically if you put 2k+ objectives in there (greatly exaggerating here) things might be a bit tough for the sim. Especially in a large theater and MP environment. Keeping track of the number of objectives keeps it nice and lean. Having 200 moving battalions if going to take it’s toll on the sim. So it’s a basic question of server load and load balancing which is going to be a problem when putting in large numbers of units, objectives and so on. -

As 4.34 has come out now, im holding off on my range table in case we end up with other changes over the course of updates to weapons physics. (i do not think there will be any, but better safe than sorry).
As soon as 4.34 vietnam comes out, ill resume my work. -

i’ve tried to convert it with KTO DB, no go.
since it’s a 128 theater, many files need upgrade to go with 4.34. -
Any new3d A-7E corsair II included in Vietnam Theater?

Manos, thanks for the help. Vietnam is pretty far along right now. I am using Smartaxe’s Universal DB, based on 4.35 KTO, as a base. It worked great for Somalia, Kuriles and Panama. But for an older aircraft theatre like Vietnam, it is less than ideal. BMS 4.35 doesn’t have the F-105, F-100, F-101, so I have had to make certain compromises. There more F-111 and A-4 Jets in the USAF than Historically Correct. Also, some of the F-4 loadouts are a little on the more modern side. Plus the USAF A-7 have USN skins.
That being said, I will release Vietnam 2.0 for 4.35 with all of these built-in compromises. The attrition campaign works and it looks really good for what tiles it uses. Perhaps, at a later date, maybe other developers can look at the DB and make it more authentic for an update 2.1 release in the future. New tiles from a world tiles collection would be a really nice upgrade, wink, wink.

I will let you know Im going for full new terrain… Already i have some data for Cities/towns etc… airports of course. Will see if i need anything in rest areas i will tell u Thanks
