Did you went in the ui up and right corner says theater to select it? The game will exit and then when u are back u are in Balkans.
Also u can do the same by running the editor and click file and select theater. Select BalkansCheers

Hhmm… from the very few you reported, I’m wondering if you have added its command line in the ‘theater.lst’ file, just as per installing instructions.
But it’s strange the same, the Balkans installer would have done this job automatically…That could even explain the fact you aren’t able to see and select the theater… please check this the same, and good luck.
With best regards.

With a changelog this small, is it really necessary for us to download the entire 1.8Gb of theater again? Any chance you guys can push out a patch with only the new / adjusted files?
-
I can put out a patch. I’ll do it later today.

Thank you, Cougar.
I don’t know the first thing about theater creation, so I don’t know how hard this is, but considering the MASSIVE difference in size (576KB instead of 1.8Gb), and the extraction-method removing all need to backup anything from your Balkans-folder now, I would very much appreciate if this could become the standard way of distributing updates in the future. Saves a lot on bandwidth, time and effort, and it’s more idiot-proof.

Two questions regarding the theater:
1. Tuzla AB in B&H: why is it called now Dubrave?
Isn’t Dubrave a village in the NW of B&H?
In the theater documents it’s called Tuzla as well.2. I noticed that there are more airports in the theater than listed in the documentation attached in the install directory.
Is there an updated list/ document? -
Yo!.. Well , some of the names are historical , some are changed to present names.
But, most Balkans airports were named by the capitals in the region even that wasn’t their real name… so, yes they are also called by the name of capital, for easier navigation, but their real name is mostly by the some village/town/city closer to airport itself.
Eg, for Dubrovnik , its name is Ćilipi [Chilipi] , by the name of village nearby., is also historical and present name… but in previous theater editions was simply “Dubrovnik”…
Now… I’m not sure for ICAO designations , but that is easy to check.Airport Zagreb was named “Pleso” at the time (historical) , it was changed to “Franjo Tuđman” [Frani: o Tudzhman] not so long ago , few years ago.
So, … what’s better, I don’t know , to keep historical names or present ones … since we’re re-creating state around end of nineties (1999) , so why we are using present names… seems like global mix of now and then …
There’s still place for improvements :yo: -

There’s still place for improvements :yo:You are correct.
More than that, it makes sense and happens with more than one airport in the theater and the different names used are indeed historical ones or after nearby cities or villages.
It might also be that Tuzla airport was once called Dubrave.
That I do not know.
What I do know is I’m gathering all information regarding the theater, cross checking and validating and in that process said airport is called “Tuzla” in the official latest update NavAid doc.
Since Cougar Name it Tuzla, the airport is called Tuzla and the tacan station is TUZ as well…I was surprised to find the name Dubrave in the actual theater in sim map.
That is the only discrepancy I found between the official published data and the actual sim data (regarding airport names). So…in short…whether it’s a typo, a leftover from previous versions or done in purpose…either the sim is wrong or the theater’s nav aids doc is wrong.
-
A note to theater developer:
Gorazde strip.
Its geographical location in the BMS theater map in the sim is well within Montenegro.
Within the official theater navaids doc it’s listed under B&H. -
once again, I was in front of the same situation : tacan is not provided
