Mission Commander beta release

Question about Issue related to Mission Commander:
Playing the campaign of Double Dragon
Have BMS Falcon 4.34u4 in stalled
Using MC 0.5.13.522
In the BMS 2D map I have bridge named “P’arwon-ni” that shows up in color and status as being owned by ROK. I go into MC, load the appropriate campaign file and this bridge has an entirely different name of “T’aech-on” and shows being owned by the PRC. In fact using the find feature there is no bridge named “P’arwon-ni”, although there is a town/city with that name.Am I doing something wrong as I cannot figure it out. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.
Not something you need to be worried about.
But I’ll need to check a couple of things.gr Falcas

You mean the button you find on the map page right side? “Import OBJ TDF”
Yep, you can forget about that one.Old and not going to be used.

Hello Falcas,
I’m currently creating Static object xml files for Tacview to show things like Runways,ILS cones. In order to get the coordinates I use MC currently in a manual way, but would like to automate and have one missing link in order to achive this.
My current worklow is i take the x/y coordinates from 1 apply the OffsetX and OffseatY from the Feature and convert those the tacview coordinates with
double latitude = south + (y * (north - south) / (height * 819.995)); //N-S north/south boundaries of the BMS theater in DMS double longitude = west + (x * (east - west) / (width * 819.995)); //E-W east/west boundaries of the theater in DMS ```As shown in the 2nd image the calculation match for the use in the Tacview static object xml My missing link is how to calculate the red arrow to from the X/Y to the BMS X/Y like they are used in ini files and or shared memory any help would be appreciated ![](https://up.picr.de/38733425js.png) ![](https://up.picr.de/38733424cd.png)

Its not copy/paste using a key combo. Its only using the CTL button and mouse click.
I see your point and will change it a little. As a normal user will not need the links at all I’ll change it so the links feature is activated by a checkbox.
With this checkbox on, MC will react to create links.Gr Falcas
yeah exactly
THANKS for looking into this! -
Question gents,
Is there a way in MC to set a bridge to destroyed before a TE?
If I find the bridge in MC, opening the TE, can I destroy that bridge preventing ground forces to cross the river? Thanks

It could be done with TacEdit quite easy, but I’ve never worked out of it can be done with MC unfortunately.

Yes. Double-click bridge, view features, right-click the line, set destroyed, apply, save.

Yes. Double-click bridge, view features, right-click the line, set destroyed, apply, save.
Nice, thanks.
Someone should write a user manual for this program one day…
-
thanks, the right click the line was the stuff I was missing
Not so obvious after all
Thanks Lorikand agreed on the manual , most of us use this only to 25% capabilities because of the lack of manual…

Well… so I’d try to do ‘the talk’ straight, then.
Dear Falcas, to you who are well known and appreciated in this Community in years for your special kindness:
would you kindly evaluate to spare a little of your valuable time and start writing some lines about ‘how to’ learn and use your useful utilities both?
Even more than someone here, far better skilled than I sure am, could contribute as well about, as you can see. With best compliments for all and my best regards.

Anserwing the question myself,
After diging around with TerrainEditor and some try and error to closest (±1ft) is the use
Constant feet_per_kilometer = 3279.98
(X+0.5)*feet_per_kilometer, (Y+05)*feet_per_kilometer for center of tile and thean apply offsets from Feature Database to that pointHello Falcas,

How do I add new weapons to a squadron in a campaign? To many times have I found only JSOW-As in inventory, but no JSOW-Cs.
-
By using the Editor in the launcher. This is MP critical and not safe if you don’t know what you’re doing.
-
Ah ok. Everything’s got a downside…

Hey Jackal,
Kind words are noted
But writing a manual is really not something I am going to do. Which has been mentioned many times already.
Development of all the tools and BMS itself is taking a lot (yeah a lot) of time. So people wonder if I have a RL job… yes I do
Asking specific questions can be done here on the forum and if anybody wants to write something… its a free world
Lorik has already posted a first part. (sorry didn’t even have time to take a look at that). Most of the questions have been covered many times on the forum already. Usually in this thread.
But TBH… just start using the tool and don’t be afraid to click on something. Keep a backup of your files is also just a basic and a must!
The above mentioned clicking on the features to set them damaged/destroyed really wonders me. This is really the basics of using any tool.
All other parts of MC work exactly the same.Gr Falcas

Good evening, Falcas.
I see your point of view, and your kind advises are appreciated, so I will follow them.

I am trying to get Mission Commander and WDP to work.
I always get the error about the LzssNative.dll (specified module could not be found). Here is what I have tried so far :
- Install .net 4.0 like specified in the initial post

- Start the software in admin mode
No matter what I do, I get that error, and I cannot load missions in either WDP or MC.
The system :
- i9 9980HK
- 2GB ram (it’s a VM)
- Windows 7 64bit
- Windows 7 SP1
