In FF AI also dumb but at least always in the same way.
In BMS4 I cannot use AI even for an OCA missions. AI controlled AC sometimes attack the target, sometimes not. Even if they are engage the target somtimes choose its own attack directionā¦
THATS the biggest problem. I donāt mind the AI being ādumbā really, as long as I can predict that dumbness and work around it :D. but I canāt find any pattern for F4ās dumbness - it just seems random

Maybe because Iām less kind than you with them at debrief (?)

After update 1, I cant frag a flight where you have to refuel in the air. The refueling part goes okay (hard practice), but when weāre done my wingy refuses to join me. Instead he fly formation with the tanker. I tried all the commands (I think), but the AI refuses to join me.
Anyone else with the same issue? Any known workaround?

yep, Iām not sure I have a good workaround.
After the strike, sometime the AI would Fence Out. I use [8] view key to check to see if they turned their NAV lights on.
Before calling the Tanker, I check their NAV lights and if lights are on, I give them the Fence In command.

Odd, my AI go Fence In immediately after departure and wonāt go Fence Out unless I either tell them to, or on approach.
Also the [8] key doesnāt work for me. Instead of viewing the nearest friendly aircraft (like in the original F4), it views the farthest friendly aircraft from me.

Out of the two times I refueled, I had that happen onceāexcept my wingman never actually fueled. He just stayed with the tanker for an extended period of time. The second time I tried refueling, everything went perfectly.

Iāve noticed that AI + BLU107 donāt have a problem dropping their bombs,
but they flew at 2000- 1000 ft and 15-20 miles over enemy territory (according to my HSD)
and one of them crashed into the ground at his 2nd or 3rd run.Usally I donāt load my AI wingies with BLU107, because I can take out up to 6 runways myself (if I load 12 BLU107)

In a same patrol, all a/c should have the same loadout. (redundancy) ā¦ And I wonder how you can bomb six runway without several re attack? (unless you have a primary, secondary, tertiary target ā¦)

Refuel seems to work well, except the frozen tanker I reported elsewhere. I Have done hundreds of refuels, and the AI seems to work all right.
Do you call Y-3 after you have done and release the tanker for your wingman? That is a requirement for the AI to continue in his turn. At least the wingman hanging at the tanker matches this. -
It may be realistic but thet still need work, BOMB AI is broken.

All the reports here are showing how inconsistent the AI can be, sometimes they strike like shit (actually they dont release), sometimes they attack just perfectly with multiple weapons type etcā¦
It is not necessary to say āyes they bombā and āno they dontā, everybody is right, everybody is wrong.
what we need to look at is the ratio of success and i can garantee you that the ratio of success is much higher than in OF. we are talking statistics here not particular cases ā¦
Two main points have been vastly improved from OF :
- the capacity to really use different weapoins in the same mission
- the capacity to re engage a correct attack profile even if target too close (this was one of the major reason they didnt attack at all in previous falcon4 version).
Yes we know , there are still some cases where the AI just fly around and does not bomb, especially dumb bombā¦the problem is known but has not been fixed. Actually, in OF for instance the point #2 was masking the next problem we are experiencing nowā¦
not sure time can be find in the close future to fix it

or on 3 differently airbases if they have 2 runways, etc.But I did that in OF, ā¦ not tried in BMS.

Imho you completely exagerate the problem as confirmed by other ppl reporting AI bombing fine.
Anyway there are still problems i donāt deny it
