Another fantastic release.
I just want to say a personal thank you to the Devs and anyone else involved
Much respect to you all.

This is a wonderful Christmas present. My best wishes to the whole BMS team.
You guys keep amazing me.Charles

This looks very exciting. Thanks for the time and effort. I didn’t think a sim could be this good.

This release is amazing. It just keeps getting better and better. I’ve been flying Falcon for 22 years and I love it more than ever. Incredible.
-
I just installed 4.35.
I set up a few other things too, like extracting my MFDs to 8" monitors with RTTClient 64bit, installing the new version of Alternative Launcher, and I just have to say…
Wow!!!
Amazing!!! :bounce:
:bdance:
:jaw:
Thank you so much to the devs!!!
I can’t believe the framerates I’m getting, even with the MFDs extracted. For me, it’s just incredible.
I was happy with 60-70 fps under good conditions before. I’m still not flying real missions, I’m still just doing things like training missions. And I’ve mostly tested the framerates with the Dogfight module. But still… to be consistently getting 90+ fps while pulling for an AIM-9P shot against a Fulcrum, with my MFDs extracted to the little external monitors… and sometimes getting 110+ fps in that same dogfight… simply amazing.
After I shot the Fulcrum down, I nearly stalled out, and just recovered before hitting the ground… sloppy flying, of course, but I was just so amazed at the fps. And in that moment, my fps was reading 143.
Un-be-freaking-liev-a-ble! Butter-smooth.
I know I’ll have a lot fewer fps in real missions, but this is an amazing “proof of concept”. I thought I’d need a new computer with something like a 3080 or 3090 to see those numbers. What an advance.
And I went up to 45,000 feet and saw the blue-black sky and a crescent Moon!

You guys are amazing.
What an awesome Christmas gift we got.
Thank you so much to all developers and BMS Team.

I think he means to say there is a new terrain engine in the workbench for 4.36, at least that’s how I understand it. Doesn’t take much to connect the dots and guess the obvious.
@Decimalminimal:Is this advice general DJ?
Should we theater devs wait for 4.36? Or can we start working prior?
I just hope that 4.35 will be user friendly with 3rd party theater devs.
Such amazing update

For all dev’s:

Minimum I can do, is to say thank you to the Devs and all the team involved in the project, for the outstanding job.
You are the F16 Sim heroes.

I had stopped playing Falcon for months. When 4.35 came out, I carefully read the updates in all the manuals, brought out my hardware/software, and fired it up. I played 1-2 hours a day, read the manuals ~1 hour a day. HOTAS hand memory quickly returned and improved with every flight, and my skill levels rose quickly to their old default level. lolol
The whole time, I am marveling at the improvements, large and small. Imagine hiring somebody to detail your car, and find that he went over every possible nook and cranny, inside and out, cleaning, tweaking, polishing, adding cool stuff, tuning your engine, doing such an amazing job that you barely recognize your (like new) car, and then submitting an incredibly detailed report of everything he did, along with tips for getting the most out of your ride!
This is the most amazing overhaul since BMS’ original release so long ago. And you can tell that it’s just the start of more things to come. And I bet the updates will come more quickly, too, because they restructured much of the code to make updating easier.
Really, guys, I would pay fair market value for this in a heartbeat– I wish you’d think about it, because you’ve certainly earned it.

Am I gonna have to redo my key mapping again?
Am I going to get higher or lower FPS with the same settings?

Still , full of bugs

Don’t hit so negative note Mav-jp, no software is bug-free, most of the annoying bugs from 5.34 were filled with U1, few more gonna be squashed with U2 (or whatever next update gonna be). I’ve got the feeling 4.35U1 is quite “playable”, we can live with remaining bugs and enjoy flying 'till their time will come.
-
wow, this is really a huge improvment, more than i can expect.

Looks nice
