My BMS 4.35 Impression.

Hello community,
The passion for aviation brings people together, no matter your origins or your beliefs, despite all our differences, we all are together when it comes to aviation. Procedures, standard operating procedures eliminate even more the differences between us, it brings us closer, which is why flying with people you value is a beautiful experience. Even if you are flying solo, reading on the forum that someone does it the same way as you brings closure.
When starting up 4.35, going trough the Tactical reference menu, i could feel the passion and the dedication behind the work done, the hours spent and sacrified to bring this to us. The most amazing fact is that most of what you see doesn’t have the name of someone on it, this is true team spirit presented to you trough this beautiful simulator.
As the canopy closed down, and on the horizon the sun was slowly setting to rise, the background noise of the engine starting up i could almsot feel the airplane vibrate. Taxing to the runway i looked around me, there i was on this beautiful airbase, everything looks where it should be, flawless and beautiful. The sun was now slowly spreading its sun rays and the atmosphere around me was chaning from darkness to light. Hitting the brakes to hold short of the runway, i was in love with the nose oscillations that dampened itself out. In the external view, when i hit the afterburner, the sound was just unbelieveable, it is spot on and there again i can imagine the hours spend to make everything as perfect as possible. ATC is smoother than ever, it is unbelievable how this simulator has grown thanks to the love of a dedicated team.
Something that really struck me, is the sound of the Mirage 2000, in the part of the world where i live, i see the 2000D’s and C’s takoef for combat operation in the Sahel Desert, and i remember standing there under the shadow of my own airplane and watching those fighters takeoff. The sound is unique and that exact same sound is in BMS 4.35, a testimony to the work accomplished and to what is to come next. Shooting up in the sky with a J-15, full burner, reaching 50 000 feet and looking around me to see how the sky got darker. Another time in the F-16 MLU, while climbing i could see the transistion of colors in the sky, simply beautiful.
Yet, as beautiful and smooth as it looks, BMS 4.35 is deadly and overhelming with precision. During a very low level ingress in an area defended by SA-17’S, two MIG-29S tried to intercept me. Deciding to turn around and lure them into the allied Patriot battery weapon egagement zone was credited with success. Soon enough the sky was the withness of a violent but yet very brief fight for life as the two MIG-29’s got shot down. On another flight, i got to experience the improvements (understatement) to the HTS pod, let’s put it that way, it is a game changer and opens up a door on the very elusive world of how things work in the electronic spectrum. Bringing this to us, will deeply change how wild weaseling will be done in the BMS community as of right now. Terrain masking has taken another definition, it is so satisfiyng to not being shot trough mountains.
Smooth, silk, beautiful, complex and so enjoyabale visually and experience wise, BMS 4.35 is a marvel, thank you to the BMS team for the work done. Thank you for providing the documentation and updating it along the way.
While in the F-16 cockpit, the sounds are totally immersing me, sound really makes a difference on how you immerse yourself, another dimension.Hereby i also would like to mention the EMF team, lighting up the burner on the BLK 52+ during a night takeoff , amazing how suddenly the cockpit gets lit up from the long plume coimng out of your engine. No wonder the use of AB at night over hostile territory is a controvrsed procedure.
Thank you, from an F-16 lover to another.

I assure you that the BMS team does it’s best to bring VR to life.
Many thanks to the BMS team for all the hard work.

nice post Canuk.
Hmmm 1st of April is not far… maybe a good opportunity for an unfortunately no VR after all for BMS…

I assure you that the BMS team does it’s best to bring VR to life.
But at what cost? Personally I could not care less about VR.
-
I agree about not caring about VR, it’ll still take a few decades to be a fully immersive experience for me in anything more complicated than a racing sim (rf2 or similar).
I’d much rather see the “Matrix neck socket” tech being realized than augmented reality of sorts where you still have to push physical buttons.
All the best,
Uwe

PS: And what the heck did get Mav-JP banned? He’s one of the pillars of the BMS community IMNSHO… I can only imagine he self-banned himself to take a little rest from all the recent turmoil… right? Hope all is well with you, JP!
-
No self-ban. Lack of unity. The team is ripping appart.

I hope this is just a temporary minor issue, for the sake of the community and BMS itself. I trust you guys are reasonable people. I really do! Be safe!

To the folks that built and tested this for us and got it released, for all that you did and sacrifices you made, THANK YOU. I appreciate what you’ve done.
