Bug report: I get blasted out of the sky by absolutely nothing

Same question always, theater?

I’d be concerned also at the BLUFOR vehicles listed in there seemingly as part of DPRK assets.
It’s list of what the bomb damaged. It includes both BLUFOR and REDFOR assets. Well, it includes nearly everything.

Unable to investigate.
Where, when … what … No mission saves … ?I’ve checked all the DPKR rosters => no blue vehicle in DPRK rosters.

I can provide a campaign file from before the mission. However, I changed several mission parameters (loadout, bullseye, steerpoints, alt base) since then. What’s wrong about the ACMI?

Mission accomplished!

…did you actually drop a GBU-54? Because what it sounds like is that you got an early burst. If you didn’t actually drop one, then something else is going on…

Yes

Check the Arm Time in your Weapons program - that’s how long it takes the fuse to actually arm after release; and is set to prevent just such. Make sure it is set for 5-10 sec or longer, depending on how high you are dropping from. If it turns out that it’s zero, that could be the problem.
I’ve seen this happen in RL Trainers before…

I never touched that value. Shouldn’t it be 6s by default?

Still, even if I got an early blast, a 500 lbs bomb shouldn’t damage objects far away. And this offers no explanation for why it took several seconds from that supposed hit before my plane actually got hit.

1. there is no such things as an early blast in BMS
2. even the real frag patterns of weapons are not implemented , so in the unlikely event that the OP got fragged by its own bomb, he should have been very close to the hit point
3. the huge number of hit from a single GBU-54 doesn’t make any sense to me. -

I should think it would be some multiple of 5, but I won’t swear to it…

lmao maybe the GUB-54 has been secretly upgraded to a small tactical nuke in 4.35?

Nope, I dropped many GBU-54s before and after that and they behaved normally.

I experienced something very similar last night during a single player Balkins campaign flight. I flew seat 2 in a 2 ship F-16-Blk50. we were in echelon formation at the hold point (far from the baddies) with an AWACS picture clear. Just as we were into our second turn of the hold point I looked left to observe if there was any other traffic and out of the corner of my eye I get a flash of what I assumed is a missile and then an explosion occurred. The debriefing file shows me entering the pit, then ejecting 20 minutes later, and my aircraft exploded shortly after ejection. There are no events recorded of me getting fired upon. So I would say there is something odd going on.
