Run your computer in Safe Mode then try to install the CD

You may have to install in Vista/compatibility mode…but you should be able to do it.

Steam prices vary according to your account country so it can go from 8.30$ if you are in the EU down to 1.05$ if you are from Argentina

Hi,
Me too…No issues installing to Win10 at all. ( I seem to recall it wouldn’t run the programme though, when I tried out of nostalgic interest! Never bothered to try any compatability fixes because I was too interested in cracking on with BMS.)
Regards and welcome to BMS.
Dram.

I have installed a F4 CD with no issues on my current Win10 PC.
My point about putting it on a USB stick was more about CD’s and their inherent ability to collect micro-scratches and cease functioning, but also most systems do not come with a CD player/burner anymore and it’s a good way to save it for the future…

I appreciate everyone’s help on the orig. falcon install. Setup finally loaded under safe mode and using run as administrator.
I still don’t understand microsoft rules for “run as administrator” even when your account is an administrator.
Compatibility mode (XP) did not seem to have any effect on attempts to setup in normal Boot mode.
4.35 setup went fairly smooth once it was downloaded from mediafire. Defender did not like the unsigned setup file and mediafire site attempted a redirect right after the download icon was pressed. (popover)
onto the config process
thx all
