I´m back at home and getting the hang of crutches. Probably back to work on Tuesday!! Finally!!
Anyway…small update of the cockpit…finally with some “bodywork”, now its easier to imagine it in game I believe! Heavy WIP…all textures and geometry are place holders! Same for the “flying” Standby Compass

First In Game Test!
I know it looks like crap at the moment (I haven’t assigned all the textures) but I am soooo happy!! Lots of trial and error on the LE. It feels really good in side, it already has its own character and feel…It was awesome to fly around the carrier in my pit!! Excited!! Good times ahead!
by just replacing the existing pit the HUD and MFDs are already there, I will need to change the coordinates of where they render.
Question 1. What is the difference in the “Art” folder between ckptart and ckptartn?
Question 2. I guess the data for the F-14D is in folder 649…In it I can read the following?

ckptartn was for the 2D nightpits in earlier days, … I think it’s obsolete.

IMHO the best is to look at the 3dckpit.dat files of a F- 16, … it’s well documented there.

Add the line:
6dof_ready 1;
… to your 3dckpit.dat file

Thanks a lot for your tips!! Got the 6 DOF working BUT!! The HUD,MFDs… move with the view but only in the added DOF axis (ie. if I rotate the head the displays dont move, but if I move up or down the displays move with the view :S)
Any idea why this happens?

For the RTTSurface material set the Alpha Source to RGB, Opacity to < 100 and make sure there are no smooth groups on the faces.
Don’t put a texture 9999 in the KoreaObj folder.

Got the parts! Thanks…figuring out how to do transparencies still!
Still fighting also with the MFDs after all your tips, too many fronts open:-?.. but no luck…will keep trying tomorrow!
