Israel Map is empty in Mission Commander
-
I tried on of the suggested solutions:
Browse for teh 4k map in the doc folder and save it but the map is still blank.
Any suggestions?

@janjan just open 4K map using “Browse Own Map” and thats it,
“Save map” has nothing to do with loading maps into MC -

Where did you find this suggestion?
The button you’re showing on the picture is the only one you need to use.

I think it might have something to do with there is not map picture in the campaign folder. I’ll take a look and fix it or have vaicon fix it.

@vAiCon That is what I did…
Still nothing -
not sure why its not working for some people, i did the exact same way as I posted before. also what’s been recommended and it works just fine

Good Day, All. I was having the same issue as janjan, but found a workaround. My WDP was working so I went to WDP 3.7.19.208>Database>Israel and copied Israel Map. png to MC 0.5.19.667>Terrain Map. Then I did Browse Own Map, searched to the MC location, and it worked
It’s not a perfect workaround, because even though I saved MC going out, when I come back in I have to do the Browse Own Map steps again. -
@drtbkj Yes, that did it.

@drtbkj
Why did you copy it to MC? You could have just pointed MC to use the file in the WDP directory -
To give some background information about this.
Previous versions of BMS had a map with a resolution of 4096x4096. In the old days it was even 2048x2048.
For tools like MC it was perfectly fine to read these size of maps and MC work take the map directly from the theater.Now we can have a larger size map 8192x8192 and its not possible to load a map of this size. MC will try to load the map from the theater itself and if this is still a 4K map it will work.
If not, there are 2 options. First you will see a white map as posted in the first pic. once the user has loaded any other map from anywhere on his(her) HD, this selection will be remembered.
Option 2, the user previously has selected its own map. MC will load this last selected map automatically for this theater. -
@Falcas I copied it because, frankly, I’m not nearly as good with this stuff as you are. This was my “backyard mechanic” fix.
I read your other post about the larger map size. Is that why I have to "browse own maps each time?This is what I get after I “browse”. Before I do I get the white screen
