Santa's wishlist for BMS

I wish for more appreciation to the BMS dev team so that they can keep making the sim better.

I could not agree more. The Devs have donated immeasurable hours to this project and hopefully there will be much more.

EHSI included in RTT

AGM-88E(s).
A container carrier fully loaded with them will come highly appreciated, besides.
(an old SEAD/DEAD guy still too young to die)With best regards.

the request I’m going to make, is probably a request that is more cosmetic than anything else … but it could bring a realistic touch … I want to talk about the effect of rain on the canopy at low speed and especially when taxing and parking …I’d like to see it improved and more visible
I discovered this effect was on DCS whereas I do not play it…I find the rendering rather nice -
@suhkoi69 in watching this video, I feel that it was more visible in 4.32 than now…

Except the fact that based on those drops. canopy does not seem to be bubble…
-
And wind-shield wipers.
Pointless having rain, but no wind-shield wipers.
A priority for 4.37 perhaps…?
-
@Aragorn I think you got a point here. A misleading point though.
-
My request is that the cockpits of the F-15C and Rafale are made in detail. I would love to fly both of these aircrafts.
-
More lasers
-
the risk of bullets self-impact by ricochet during a strafing in low altitude
-
Make OSA II boats shoot AAA again and more AAA from ships. They were fun now they do nothin.
-
Full view port support as in DCS World and Prepared 3D so a three projector/screen can be setup without distortion.
Using correct view port definition and Fly Elise-ng software provides image geometric correction and soft-edge blending using the PC GPU on a curved surface.
Using Fly Elise-ng software and a curved screen gives you this distortion-free view…

my wish is 4.37 to be major release with the new terain , after that details would be fixable
if not , my wish is devs to anounce the opposite
i dont ask details about 4.37 i only ask if the new era of BMS will be in the next versioni may sound annoying to some but such a change needs new hardware i suppose so expose your plan
benefits ours in a good way. -
I really would welcome native VR (OpenXR) support.
-
@Tazz no need to hope for that…
OpenVR is coming

Greeting firstly to the entire team of developers and programmers and as always, congratulate you for this wonderful simulator that is part of our lives and that in my name is my life, as well as our wing.
We would like, as a recommendation, to lower the size of the data packets sent by the network in online flight. In order to have a lower data consumption and the bandwidth is less busy.
This size of the data packet transmitted by the network could be reduced, eliminating all the data that is not necessary such as canopy position, chocks, nozzle position, what light mode it has and what flash mode it has.
Only general flight data such as speed, angle of attack and height in the case of air units or position for ground units are sent only to the pilot who is inside that bubble and that it is not sent to all the human pilots of the whole the network doing this that the data packet sent is larger.
Using some data compression protocol that is compatible with the network engine used in falcon (RACKNET).
That the bubbles that collide and disaggregate the objects, that data is sent only to that pilot who is involved in that bubble and not to all the other human pilots in the network, this makes the data packets excessively large when a campaign is run and there are more than 5 human pilots.
Provided this recommendation can be enabled or disabled, in config or in a line in the bms config.
We do not know of the internal work of the development team, we do not know if this is already being worked on or will be taken into account in the modification timeline.
Our community is very happy with all the work of the team and the falcon family, this should not be taken as a complaint or as disagreement with all the work done so far.
Long live FALCON.
Greetings.

@VIPER-0 first, there is an option in the cfg file for host to update components freq (base is 200ms)…
Secondly, I don’t think this is such a bummer on a dedicated host, you need bandwidth anyway…
It is a matter of experience vs performance…
Having no moving parts is just a deal breaker for me and I will not support such request.Check network loads on your host on average and really tell me what could be improved…
Obviously, compression is out of question to avoid jitter…
Cheers

@MaxWaldorf I think the part about (this is not a request nor is it a complaint) was not read.
Sometimes it’s not that you don’t want to read, it’s that you don’t want to understand.
We will leave the post with the recommendation, in case someone wants to understand and in future versions can help, after all it is called a wish list.
Greetings and success.
