MidEast theater 128 for 4.37 (old)
-
Just installed this theater and from what I’ve seen it looks great. While I still didn’t have time to test it in detail, I noticed the following in the Operation Desert Storm campaign:
- There are AMRAAM missiles available, namely AIM-120B available for some aircraft in the campaign like for example the F-16. This is not realistic since the AMRAAM only entered in service after Operation Desert Storm (and not during it).
So, not having AMRAAMs in the Operation Desert Storm campaign is not only realistic but at the same time more challenging since for example the F-16s should only carry Sidewinder missiles.
- There are AMRAAM missiles available, namely AIM-120B available for some aircraft in the campaign like for example the F-16. This is not realistic since the AMRAAM only entered in service after Operation Desert Storm (and not during it).

It is not possible to have, in one theater, a database for a campaign and a different one for another. Hence the same loadouts in Desert Storm and Iran - Irak.
Other aircrafts had AMRAAM.
So it needs a mod like the one I did. I’m keeping it private, I didn’t ask permission to share it for now.

@Aragorn
Ara, SPBGoro has posted a few in the screenshots thread, and there are some older ones also in that thread from me and I think Alfred, but of older versions. To my knowledge there isn’t a theater-specific screenshot thread for Mideast128.

Oh, I see! Thanks for the replyBTW, how can I change the database for this campaign?
Sorry, for the ‘noob’ question but and while I’ve been playing Falcon BMS for quite awhile, I never edited anything in the sim except for TE scenarios. -

All this has long been known.
Amraam missiles are almost removed from the F-16 in Desert Storm.For example, F-16C 25/30 carry only one amraam missile on 3/6 pylons. This was done - for a variety of games in missions such as Barkap. When loading Air-to-ground, ground weapons will be suspended on these pylons, and only Aim-9s always will be on pylons 1/8 and 2/7.

Невозможно иметь в одном театре одну базу данных для одной кампании, а другую для другой. Отсюда одинаковые нагрузки в «Буря в пустыне» и «Иран — Ирак».
Другие самолеты имели AMRAAM.The database in this theater is quite flexible and does not require duplication to separate time epochs, since the division takes place at the level of the F-16 models themselves and their pylons.
For example, in the Desert Storm campaign. F-16-15/25/30 aircraft with OSU/OCU pylons are used. The era of the 90s.
In ‘Freedom of Iraq’, ‘USA-Iran’ campaigns - Used F-16 32/42/50/52 with CCIP pylons and modern weapons.
In the Iran-Iraq campaign. Only F-14A, F-4E/D, F-16A with missiles Aim-9J, Aim-7E-2 and Aim-54A. etc.
Thus, if you turn off the remaining amraam on pylons 3/6 OSU / OCU, then it will almost disappear in the ODS

Yes that is the best way to accommodate. The mod I did only contains ODS, as it was my main interest. Thus easier to set.

@SpbGoro and @MaxWaldorf
Hoping that has still be room for my previous custom made TEs there… I’m going to take a look to them just to be sure that it’s all in order and running fine too.With best regards.

I see the F-16A cockpit will be very necessary for the realism of this theater.

Так что ему нужен мод, как тот, который я сделал. Я держу это в секрете, пока не спрашивал разрешения поделиться им.
I guess here - no one will be against your mods.
The only thing I recommend is to make mods - based on the latest theater updates, since the database is very unstable here.For example, in the future update - Chieftain tanks and battalions will appear, they were not there before. but now they will, this is just an example.

If you click it, you see, in spite of obsolete OP, that the filename is .1 .
